I like music in the genre of Punk, Rock, Electronics (especially Drum&Bass), Metal (not too heavy) and some other stuff I can't really think about. But I definelitly don't like most mainstream music such as general pop music, R&B, Hip Hop, and what we got in Holland now, Hardstyle... bleh. But that's my opinion. Bands that I really like: Pendulum, Infected Mushroom, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Disturbed, Ill Nino, Flogging Molly, Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, MSI, enz. |

i just cannot stand R&B, and Hip-Hop is pretty disgusting too.. i cant believe some people get so famous for their lack of musical skill.. 
i like mostly Punk Rock type of stuff, like Green Day, Rise Against, The Rasmus, Offspring.. Also Linkin Park is one of my favs.. i listen to lots of diffirent bands though.. Also like some Dance music.. |

Agreed. Strangely enough that "music" seems to be mostly, if not only, favored in the United States... |

I listen oldskool true hiphop, not the commercial shit, i hate that, real rappers have good songs, fake rappers dont, i like some rock 2, like system of a down and stuff like that i hate the Dutch music styles hardcore and jumpstyle |

I'm listening to Metallica now. it is my favourite band. I listen to it from a good time(i was a kid when I first listened to it). Apocalyptica is pretty good too. I like Heavy metal, but nothing much heavy. Here in brazil a lot of listen to that thing(that isn't even music to me) called Funk.(not Punk). |

I listen to a wide variety of music: Classical, Rock, J-pop, Movie, Video Game and Anime soundtracks make up the majority of what I listen to. However I am willing to listen to anything except rap, hip-hop, or country. |

I listen to Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Matchbox Twenty, Hedsteem, classic rock, Metallica, metal, Flyleaf, Sonata Arctica, Bon Jovi, lotss of other stuff. Pretty much the only thing I won't listen to is, as others said as well, country, rap, hip-hop, and I absolutely hate the really metal stuff where half the words to it are screamed at the top of the singers' lungs with no real rhythm to it. Because screaming and music do not go hand in hand. They're sort of like complete opposites... |

I like everything as well, except some more obnoxious punk rock or death metal (The voice thing, when pulled off WRONG, is annoying, but the music is fine), bad hip-hop and rap. I also like Disco, to those of you who haven't caught that through the Disco Inferno reference. Specifically, bands I like are Apocalyptica, Gwar, and some of the Toy Dolls remixes (They play nothing but kazoos to pre-recorded music, including Living La Vita Loca and The Final Count Down), as well as ALL classical, or almost all. I have a special place in my heart for the majestic, woeful, ominous and always-huge full-size church/catheradel (Spelled wrong, I know) pipe organ and Bachs' workings of it. |

I can come to accept most music, except for that perverted, twisted music called "hip-hop" and "R&B." They rely too much on rigging their voice with 1000 effects. Every song is pretty much about girls. I can't believe modern society has degraded into this pit-hole of bland, robotic failure that those teenyboppers call music. We need to revive classic hip-hop and R&B! Going on to what music I prefer, I listen to a variety of rock songs, and I especially like blues rock, such as SRV, Jimi Hendrix. More of the older rock songs. Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult, you know. Additionally one of the modern bands that I like are the Queens of The Stone Age. I hated them at first, then I kept listening to them for some reason and I started liking them... I guess that's how their music is like. |

Yeah lots of good bands named here ^^ I've forgot a few which you guys mentioned. R&B'rs and Hip Hoppers also talk alot about their possesions... They don't make 'music' because of expressing creativity, they just want the money. |

thats becaues all emos listen to depressing music and cut them selfs and if you listen carfully to some death metal bands you can understand the lyrics..but only for the good death metal. such as the band suffocation

Mudvayne is the only metal band i listen to, the rest sounds like they're screaming their heads off. Then again Crematory's Caroline is really good, although i can't find the song on Zune or the internet. |

I like R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, R&B, Gospel, Country, R&B and a bunch of other crap that... I mean I hate those! Here in SA, we get a bunch of wierd music that sucks worse than those too... Most people in this country also really like R&B and Hip-Hop and gospel and pop and that kinda crap... I will listen to any music from just about ay genre as long as it sound good, but some catagories f music have so far proved to just suck all the time... As for good music, I preferre rock type stuff... We are actually learning to play the guitar, so I don't really respect musicians who get money for making such crap music. Of course I also respect propper guitarist more now... |
