Well, with Phase 1 closing within the next day, as you will have read on the news page, RuneStorm has 3 entries in: Thor Lightning Gun Pitbull Shotgun Hel Character Full list of Entries So far, there's not many weapons entered, and only one other character

Considering that their is really only 1 other gun (clown gun) and the rest are just modified UT3 guns, its safe to say who will win. |

I'm pretty sure that page is messed up somehow. Some mods are in the wrong categories, and from what I've seen on the forums there should be a lot more entries, including models. I know for a fact that Davision plans to enter his Rodents (which will 0wn all no doubt), and there are at least half a dozen other models that qualify (i.e. decent quality, no copyright issues) for the MSUC. Their authors would be crazy not to enter them. The Hel character is very good though, could be a honorable second place (or even first if the rodents don't show). In the weapon category it should be a pretty easy win, 1 & 2, or 1 & 3-4 depending on the competition / personal preferences of the judges.

The Thor definitely has a good chance of winning. I don't think the Pitbull will win, though. In the context of this game, a shotgun just isn't anything special. What is this "Cubes" thing in the Character/Customization category? Does that even fit? |

Yeah, but afaik there are like 5 prizes per category, so if the competition is weak or nonexistent, it could still win by default. i think you can enter your mod, which could include characters, weapons, or whatever into the categories you want the various aspects considered in..
and yes, there are 5 prizes per category  And i'm certain the Pitbull will be highly considered.. it doesn't have to be a new way-out weapon to be better than even the craziest, cataclysmic, singularty, missile launcher

I swear... when I saw the scalie dancing (the sig gif image) about a year ago.... it almost gave me a seizure from all the... background color changes... O_o It doesn't anymore thankfully for the smaller size, and the black background of Runestorm (the site had it with a WHITE background O_o). Oh and it helps that it actually is one color for the background now days... RUNESTORM WILL WIN! Racer P: Haha, we will see when I am winning and you are not! Me: *punches Racer P in gut* |

Right, and I'm the queen of England. I didn't mind it myself, but this forum is viewed by youngsters, so no 'naughty bits' are to be posted nor linked to on this website. If you want a second opinion about that picture you could private message Cyberax and ask him to check out the anim. Now lets carry on with MSUC discussion shall we?

IIRC, that gif was not shown on the site's clean section. So... as much as I like what the anim is now (no flashing background colors), Iunno. Half the time they post clean stuff outside of /c/, so you've got a chance! |
