So, I've been having problems with using my wireless card in Linux, so I tried a way around this problem. Using VirtualBox, I made a virtual Linux machine, which can be seamlessly integrated into your desktop. In other words, the two operating system can be used at the same time, running on top of each other. Man, all those hours trying ndiswrapper and madwifi wasted when I couldn have just spent 30 minutes installing a virtual machine. Check out the pic. You can see the Linux update manager on the laft side and the Matlab running in Wondows. If I moved my mouse to the bottom of the screen, I'd either ge the Linux task bar of the Windows task bar, depending on which window I had selected.

Oh, and the best part is the ability to do snapshots of the system's state (which is faily common) so that I don't really have to shut down the virtual machine if I have to shut down my host machine. For example, I boot up my computer into Windows, then use VirtualBox to boot up a virtual linux, I can do some stuff and then save the state of Linux, reboot Windows, and start Linux from that snapshot and continue whatever I was doing. I was getting so annoyed that I had to run a bunch of commands to get my code to compile in Linux and run on the AT91SAm7S chip.

Can't help but wonder if theres some bugs to be worked out on that.

There are some bugs, but the only bugs I've noticed are specifically when using this "eamless mode" in the screenshot above. For example, I open a console in the virtual Linux, go into seamless mode, close the console, but cannot get out of seamless mode. I can click on the Linux task bar since I turned off autohide, but still cannot do anything; not even click on the menu options in the Linux task bar. However, until click-and-drag is implemented, I don't see much use for the seamless mode aside from the "cool" factor, unless you have great need to multitask in multiple systems at the same time.
