ok i have been on a ut2004 mod downloading spree when i came across the "Neo tokyo" mod. i downloaded the final version and thought i was in for a good time, but i was wrong. in the instant action menu there is no way to put how many bots you want in the match and when you press play you are in a map all by your self.

so i was like, time to throw this away. but for some reason i clicked "online/multi player" and there is ONE server up. i was amazed because i was pretty darn sure the mod was 100% dead, but again i was wrong. the thing is as you can guess is that no one was on the server and there probably will never be any one on.

but i thought maybe if i can get a bunch of people to download it maybe we can play together on this server! the game is a very good base for multi player action and features 3 people to play as in the beginning of the match (sniper, light, heavy) and two teams.

"Neo tokyo" features-

- iron sights
- lower grav (not so you can hover or float) environment for jumping higher
- the ability to make your self invisible for a limited amount of time
- solid weapons to play with
- team oriented play (domination style game type)
- around 9 or so solid maps to play on
- near futuristic settings
- some other cool MP stuff, download this if you have good net connection. seems like real fun to play online.

i havnt really been able to get the most out of neo tokyo because its kinda hard when you are playing bye your self. you can add bots ingame but there is no bot support what so ever. i think there is a point system where you can buy better equipment as you go but i am not sure.

we can set something up to play online some time but just check it out for now, the servers ping is ok for me so it must be ok for most people.........

i just hope most the people here can play games online with out laggage

Man you love your TC's don't ya James. Yeah this mod is and was cool. I'm pretty sure its totally dead James, they haven't posted anything on it at all anywhere!

Mods without bot support suck. It's just plain lazy, and ultimately a complete waste of time as everyone knows that mods, and UT in general, are mostly played offline.

Also I don't like TCs, unless they're compatible with other custom stuff (especially models). Basically most TCs look and play like 3rd rate console games, and I hate console games! Too many restrictions, not enough content... !ill

BW can go TC, it wouldn't change anything but making development faster. But that would make the official & custom maps in the default folder unaccessable.

Among other things, presumably (custom models, for example)... Nah, BW should always remain a standalone weapons mod, separate from the Archon (or whatever it's called) TC.

In UT, compatibility is key. Infinite fun in infinite combinations, yo! !alien

Man you said that like twice now, but still keeping BW as a standalone weapons mut is key.

Yes it is, but a TC is still not as bad as many people seem to think. It does have few limitations though, but I think those can be coded away.

what are you worrying about?????

BW will always be available in a mutator but some people would like to see a TC, stop crying about it.
