Post subject:  Halo Combat Evolved... cd key
So i bought Halo Combat Evolved off a friend at work, its the newer mac updated version so i was pretty pumped to load it up on my mac and play.
My friend didnt tell me the cd key was not in the cd case(which is all he gave me). I called him and asked if he had the booklit still(thats where the cd key would be located according to the game), and he says hes lost the games box and booklit.

I've installed Halo off the legal original disk... but i cant play because i dont have a cd key to enter when it asks me too. What should i do about this...? should i contact bungi asking for a cd key or something?
I payed $30 for the game(its even more expensive retail for mac), and im kind of pissed off.
any advice...?

Send the publisher a request for a CD key, include proof that you own the copy of the game, both ID codes and a picture work I bet.

I talked to someone over at Macsoft and they helped recover my CD key so it works now :D

Custom Edition is only for windows i think =/

Who needs a Mac port? Just use bootcamp and Windows XP as secondary OS.

true, but im not that concerned about playing CE.
playing through the Halo campaign right now, good fun :]

a few graphical glitches here and there but it plays smoothly and looks good for as far as halo goes lol.
