Got it today and its awesome! What do you guys think of it! (if you have it) Forget the reviews... It is awesome! did play with patch first though

hehe
probably a bit of a fan but oh well Anyway...
takes a while to get into, especially if you start on master difficulty. But as with the first game once you finally get into it, it takes you to somewhere special. Although the atmsophere is probably not quite the same as stalker Shoc it is still great and is made up for by the stunning visuals. Brilliant moments when you are walking through the marsh area and you hear a rustle in the reeds next to you... Stop for a moment and look around. See nothing and start walking again... Suddenly a mutant boar bursts out of the bushes in front of you and more often than not gores you to death. when i said forget the reviews, i meant, dont let them put you off buying it. On the whole they are pretty accurate though. |

Its shit. Its a pretty good shotter but it isnt STalker. The originally Zone have to be deadly and it shouldnt be possible to just come inside and create big clans like Duty. But im already on my STALKER Project that will tremove the most of the ppl in the Zone and replace them with mutants. |

Remember that it is a prequel, at the time of Shadow of Chernobyl the Zone had settled down and reached a rather "peaceful" status. But in the early days that Clear Sky's time is set to, were more hot. This is comparable to the progression of the solar system; the earth started as a ball of fire being bombarded by asteroids and whatnot, but now it has become a very comfy planet in a solar system mostly free of asteroids. (mostly thanks to Jupiter though) |

I know what CS is^^ I played Stalker long enough^^ But even if its a prequel so the PR says that Zone is more dangerous in this prequel. But there are more strange things. If you know the game was realeased in Russia one week before it was released at the rest of the world. The game was buggy and absolutely unplayable. The develovmpent team used Russia as one big Betatetster to bring out a bugfree and stable US Version. I am a part of a biggest STalker mod-team. The AMK-Mod. We have even contact to the GSC. 1 year before they promised to bring out a SDK for the mod-community. Now they refused. The modmaker have to make the whole Ai-Wrapper, Converter and such stuff by themselves again. And that is what really pisses me off. |

Really? You ever worked with UT SDK? Or Crysis SDK? And after that open up STalker "SDK" and you 100% will have to spit. The whole Max, Maya converters was wrote by the community. You dont have tools to create terrains, to spawn items. Nothing. |

Bioshocs developer dont even have full assec to the development kits of the Engine becuase they didnt developed the Engine but bought the right for it. Crysis, UT or Stalker are Engines developed from the ground. UnrealEnginen CryEngine and XRAy Engines are all high moddable Engines. But the way the developer use the fans is embarrasing. A Game like STALKER need mods. Bioschok instead dont really have much place to mod it. |

That is a pile of contradictive bullshit. When you buy an engine license you do get everything required to use the engine. That includes the engine source and tools to create assets usable by the engine. How do you think they managed to heavily modify the Unreal engine and create the binaries? Using an assembler? Hell no. We'd be expecting Bioshock in 2207 if that was the case. |
