I'm trying to get monsters in non invasion gametypes through Invasion Everywhere,I'm also attempting to make some creatures that are modified. (example, the Evil Zombie of Doom, which is a half life standard zombie bloated to 3 times the size and has 10 times as much health, funny thing is the headcrab looks like a gag) Unfortunately the guy who made invasion everywhere made the critical mistake of not adding a damage field,so those Evil Zombies of Doom are hitting like pansies,I have downloaded Monster Manager 1.8 which has(I think) promised compatibility with Invasion Everywhere,it also has the vital damage field.I want to know how to properly combine these two. |

I had figured that out a long time ago, but didn't get it working again. |

Eh, just do the easy thing and modify the monsters' code directly. You can probably even take the info from the MonsterManager.ini and more or less copy that into the defprops of what you want. |

You don't really have to modify the code directly. Invasion Everywhere has a menu where you can add customized monsters to a list, you can even add the same monster many times but make each instance have different properties. It isn't as flexible as MM, but better than nothing. |

The key problem with IE is the lack of damage modifier,as stated above. Might it be possible to lightly modify IE with a damage modifier?I don't think I need the acceleration field all that much. Problem is I am not all that savvy with scripting.(though I suppose this would be a good experience) Maybe I can transfer my problems over to BWcommunity and maybe someone could walk me through the process there? |
