OCAdam has started a little thing in BWCommunity to inspire more weapons for BW! He's posting challenges that ask people to make weapons under specified guidelines. This week he asked for Sub-Machine Guns. They just aren't getting the love of the other weapons!
The problem is, the entries are in, but we have no one to vote in the polls! The entries:
Name: C1A Manufacturer: Kintera Defense Industries Primary Fire: 600RPM 9x19mm Bullet Secondary Fire: Melee Slap Special: Stability Stance Story: One of the newest weapons manufacturers to develop military grade weaponry, K.D.I. created this cheap-to-produce SMG as a standard issue weapon designed for urban combat. While it has a simple design, the clip is a highly technical and advanced art of the gun. It features a dual-clip system that contains a second set of bullet in front of the main clip and gets pushed into place once the rear clip has been expended. Due to this complex system, it has a slightly lowered firerate than other SMGs in it's class. Author: OCAdam
Name: FY74 M/SR Manufacturer: Hawkins Classics Primary Fire: 750RPM 5.45x39mm Bullets Secondary Fire: Ironsight Special: None Story: This weapon was widely produced as a civilian's defense weapon, but ended up being used for military law enforcement agencies for the reliability and portability of the gun. It fires at a high rate, making it a fearsome weapon in the right hands, but has somewhat poor recoil due to the placement height of the rear stock. Truely a classic gun, it now can be hard to find, and even harder to purchase. Author: OCAdam
Name: DIYr 12k Manufacturer: Private Individuals Primary Fire: Rapid firing nails Secondary Fire: Melee smack Story: Ordinary people, when desperate enough, will do anything to defend themselves. In this instance, a simple pnuematic nailgun had its safety mechanism tweaked and a crude stock, constructed solely of duck tape, 2x4 boards, and nails, tacked onto it. While not entirely accurate, reliable, or even useful at ranges further than 50 foot, it does sport two dynamic fire modes- full out rapid firing or a sturdy hit with its custom, designer stock! Made expertly with nails, duck tape, sweat, and a lil' bit of love, this one of a kind peice of art can be yours for only $19.95! Limit 5 per customer. Author: Captain Xavious
Name:NFW-72 Manufacturer:NDTR Industries. Primary Fire: Bullets. Secondary Fire:Change LCD Function(Bullet Count, range meter, etc) Special:Enter Doom 1 mode. ok, it's nothing there. Story:NDTR, known by it's fancy high-tech, multi-use weapons, saw that their weapons weren't so recommended for Close Quarters combat, so they developed a Sub Machine Gun. It has a built-in LCD that has Range finder, Bullet count, Stealth Meter and other NDTR technologies, and has a pretty unique magazine placement. Author: Glosmostinex So, anyone wanna hop on over to take their pick? |

The DIYr 12K was the nailgun one. The NFW-72 is the gun with a side-clip and the LCD screen. |

It's a mutator on where you kill someone you resurrect a zombie. Then you have to survive from the zombies. How? Camping of course. (NOTE: Don't get this mutator on Filefront,it's WAY out-dated than the other one from the German UT2004 site) |

Great, unless there is literature contest, pass. I like the FY74 (if I'm correct, it is from Crysis, no?) Xavious, um, no offense, but I am not having a clue on what it is, I know it's supposed to be a nailgun, but the model is very hard to make sense of. |

Yeah, I forgot to smooth it, but its supposed to be a tweaked nail gun with some 2x4's nailed on back to serve as a makeshift stock for the weapon. Not one of my better works, but then again, I wouldn't really consider it done at this point. To tell you the truth, I like the FY74 best too.
Anyways, keep an eye out on the contests. There will be ones for whatever you want to do, more or less, and literature would count in this. |

SX wrote: I like the FY74 (if I'm correct, it is from Crysis, no?)
The original FY74 model was actually based heavily on the AK74M, with a few random ques from the Crysis version of that game, the FY71. Confusing, but it's like I made a model based on the real thing while taking ideas from the Crysis model that based itself on the AK74M, and then combined the names. The version you see in the competition for the SMG is called the FY74 M/SR. It's like the AKS74U version. In my later versions of the base FY74, it's got que from the AK103 with the attachment that has the top with a Picatinny Rail (realistically this allows both older Warsaw Pact attachments, and newer NATO attachments). Oh, I bet someone's gonna get confused on this, there always is someone who is confused. |

Originally it was 1400+ or something. I took probably the better part of an hour trying to find ways to actually remove verts and such. It was a major pain in the butt to do... and then I remembered I didn't have a trigger! @_@ |
