Don't know if it's just now I saw it, but in the first page you have a link to RS history. It's pretty interesting.
I'm curious about this Quake 2 mod... how it was? |

I read through the history story as well. You guys went from a literal square 1 to what is one of the podiums of the modding community in Unreal! Don't know if that'll make sense, but you shoud get the main point of that!

yes, the guys have put up some history. They had to do an article for a local newspaper (where they live) about themselves, as they are being featured for their work in winning at the MSUC. The history page will be a bit more detailed than the newspaper article, but it's good to have it posted here. |

Our Quake 2 mod was never released, neither was anything else up until BW.. It was quite interesting, had alot of stuff, including some ridiculous magic staff's with 20 spells each, from volcanoes and angels of death, swamps, skeletons and other magical forces
The mod also had other weapons, like tri-shotgun, other shotguns, bombs, MG's, rifles, grenades and launchers, etc.. lotta stuff in there.. We made this history, mainly coz the newspaper folk suggested we put up some info about us.. |

Sounds like they were pretty awesome things you made back then! Wonder if we'll ever get to see screenshots of what those weapons had looked like back in Quake 2...

I'm pretty sure I still have the good old DM-Deck32 (I think) and DM-Deck64 from the old UT99 days somewhere on a CD...those were awesome maps the devs did. I also remember a very nice snowy castle yard type of map, but I forget the name...I'll go and look for them sometime... |

Hey... I still have my Quake 2 installed... It would be wicked awesome if you guys make your Q2 mod public somehow... |

i'd rather not.. we "borrowed" a number of sounds from other games We didn't intend to release it.. It was more of a learning excercise..
UT99 maps included 3 Deck maps by DC (48, 64, 128) Deck 128 was the best W made various remakes of Unreal 1's singleplayer maps, like Spire Village, Harobed Village, etc.. Nice large outdoor maps made into CTF.. Also bunches of original maps we made, some sucked, others were passable
