Just found this little gem,it is a top down space combat strategy game.

Ships are made up of sections that have their own damage values and are 'parented' to other sections,destroy a sections parent and you destroy it in the process.
Each weapon also uses this parenting feature and are varied in damage and effect,some can give you a solid attack,others like the weasel gun have special properties,this one in particular hits the target and generates a number of smaller projectiles that bounce off and loop to the other side of the ship.

There are also modules that can shield sections of the ship,repair it,construct platforms,move enemy ships and debri,and there is even one that allows you to draw a field in space that blocks fire.And of course there are more modules than that.

And the best part in my opinion,you can make your own ships!
I already have 6 ships and I got the game 2(?) days ago.However they are not quite ready for presentation,I'd rather spiffy them up.

That enemy would be a Nagaya ship 3.The big shell looking turret thing in the center is the tachyon repeater.

Also,try varying your section placement,makes for more appealing ships.

Check out my near god-ship Achilles versus the Cronus ship in-game! (I know, the body of the Achilles is a bit asymmetric, I fixed that afterwards.)

The Achilles is blue. The Cronus is red. I put eight guns, I think, onto the Achilles. RIGGED.

I should get this. And WOW. What are those orange bits, giant energy cores? The huge cannon, by the way, scares me....

It neutralizes all projectiles within 1200 pixels of it.

All ships of its kind sport nano-armor(nano matrices) and superior shielding.

They are the Uudra.

BTW,I think the cannon is about the size of a standard Hestia.(sans wings)

Do you have anything even bigger & nastier...?

Will once I make the 5 sisters to this ship.

They will become the Uudra fleet,and I will upload them to the ship database.

One of which will be a monitor.(flippin huge,think something that would eat the Star Wars Executioner for breakfast.(that would be the super star destroyers)

I can't find the rotation stuff, only flip functions. Can someone tell me where I can find that in the ship creator?

"J" & "L" for rotation. You can also create only one side of the ship then push "M" to emmm... how to say that ? Well make your ship symmetric, mirror one side of the ship to an other. But if you do that you have to delete all objects you put on the one side and leave on the other, because if you do not do that there will be duplicated objects.
Hope that was clear enough.

I've got a few ships of my own, but they are plain overpowered things of fun anyways. I do have a semi-balanced super-railgun-runner ship though. 500 health, but it's only the weapon base, and an invincible Railgun that can fire at any angle and extremely fast. Pirate Hybrids nearly destroyed it since I was still sometimes getting hit by their missiles (the ship is super fast in everything, and can dodge missiles).

Damage?

Oh, it does 50 per shot. Firerate of 10, 5 Clipsize, 30 reload. It also does a burst of 5.

I'm working on a set of ships that are a LOT more balanced though. I call them the Black Star Fleet.

Twin small beams doing 40 dpf short duration.

One Blaster 100 dam,1 fire rate,50? clip size,reload of 210,double projectile speed.

Next two are as one:
One mining beam at 5 dpf,constant duration.
One weasel gun firing 4 bursts of two in half a second(?),each splitting into 20 smaller projectiles doing 100 damage each.For a total of 2000 damage a larger projectile,grand total of 16000 damage.

Also 12 side mounted pulse guns doing 200 damage a shot,fire rate of one second(?),clip of two,two or three second reload.

Hope you got high health.I certainly do.

I've been familiarizing myself with the Shipmaker, so I'll show you my best so far:

The blue ship, the Hummingbird, is my rigged ship. It has enough deflectors to block out everywhere except the tail, which has a projector. It's fighting some of my earlier ships.

These are my three best ships. The one on the upper left is the Mantis. It is balanced, designed to be a utility ship. The middle one is the Stingray, a lightweight reconnaissance ship that can only last in small encounters. The one on the bottom right is the Hummingbird, my rigged ship. Has tons of deflectors and a frightening arsenal of weapons.

Any critiques, comments, etc? It'd be nice if you guys can help me improve in ship building.

Not too shabby,however you might want to go for bubble shields on the humming bird rather than stocks.(it is a trick detailed here, http://www.wyrdysm.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2897 )

EDIT: Ok all of them have some serious overuse of deflectors,they will glow like the sun.

What's a good number of deflectors to use, then? I still want the Mantis to be somewhat durable, and the Hummingbird unusually hard to destroy.

As for the bubble-shield trick, I don't even know how to work Aegis Deflectors. Is there a guide that can show me how to work everything first?

It's simple,spawn one,keep it selected,hover over the section you want aegis'ized and press T.

As for deflector numbers,that's why I suggested the bubble shied,it really works that well.

Just leave openings somewhere.

Aegis Deflectors don't like working right for me I notice.

I'll throw a pic or two in a while, I gotta do some more stuff with some ship designs.

Heres my fleet.


1)Colossus
The most durable and powerful ship in the fleet, it have loads of weapons most of them are rapid fire weapons against small target, it have 4 beam weapons specialized in taking out large targets. The ship is heavy shielded and protected by flack cannons, the only weak spot is the rear, it have low defence.

2)Gunship
Ship have many rapid fire weapons to create a barrage of tiny doom projectiles.
The ship is vulnerable if it is attacked from front or rear, those who will attack from the sides will get raped.

3)Messiah
Have weak armor, no defensive devices nor turrets, but it have one long recharging beam of death it will penetrate through anything. I tested myself it destroyed 3 Colossus ships in one shot.

4)Protector
Have weak armor, little weapons, only two beam weapons. But its strength that no projectile can make far enough to hit this ship, it can stop up to 50 projectiles that is fired in its dirrection.

5)Corvette
Small fast attack ship, not very durable and dont have much of a fire power but in a suadron of 4-5 ships it can wreck lots of havoc.

6)Interceptor
Fast and agile fighter. Cant do much damage but its fun to have some weaklings fly around the battlefield.

7)Strike Craft
Same as Interceptor, only it carries missiles.

My fleet wins so far. I'll post pictures later on. Most of my ships are very tactical such as the RepairShip or Module-Buster. They're weak with armor or weapons, but provide very useful tactics.

Here's my fleet. Watch out for my Custom Superweapon on the battleship.

You know Messiah can waste your battleship with one shot and all of the other ships if they are close enough to the target

Oh and i updated my ships few days ago i also made a space station for them.

my Battleship also has a super cannon. 4 custom heavy beams I'll go upload them in a minute.
