IS FREAKING AWESOME!

It has officially replaced Halo 3 as our MP game of choice. It offers 2 player split screen + system link, allowing for up to 8 players on for XBoxes, its freaking amazing, and you really feel a need for team work.

If you are looking for a SP game, this one probably wouldn't be for you. While its not bad, it kinda looses something unless you got a couple like minded idiots screaming "BOOMER! BOOMER! AUUGH! WITCH!!!!" as you run through that stupid corn field. :p

This game is really fun. The weapon selection is quite limited, you can only play as four characters, and there's 20 maps, but really, if you had the choice, you'd probably use the same couple of guns anyways, you'll play as the same character, and there'll be that handful of maps you really love to play in. I'd say its no real drawback.

Playing as a zombie is actually quite difficult, I'd say that it almost requires more team work than the survivors, to be honest. A single specialist zombie has next to no chance of taking out a survivor by himself, it requires traps and lures and team work to bring him down. Then you got three more. :P

If you don't plan on doing a lot of Multiplayer with it, it probably wouldn't be worth getting, but man, that game is awesome for Multiplayer.

It is an awesome game, Me Xavious and some others were playing it at my place... Wow... its a pretty intense game. Im gonna get it when I get the chance. I dont care for playing as zombies but it is gratifying to pin down a survivor while your other zombie brothers pin them down as well, that way you get that survivor all to yourself. Also Wyches SUCK. See one in the heat of combat "DUDE TURN OFF YOUR F***ING FLASHLIGHT! OMG IM GETTING RAPED!" Then add screaming like a little girl and gun fire and the guynext to wining about how his feet were cold (I wined to but I put my curbstompers on and got them warm again) It is an Epic game, has some little flaws in it like poor weapon selection and under powered zombies (Or over powered survivors) But over all its an awesome game. 9/10 from me.

I don't think there's any balance issues for the zombies vs. survivors, since we have a tendency to get raped whenever we play campaign (particularly that last level in Dead Air...), I think mainly its just that the Zombies are a lot harder to play as.

I don't really think the weapon selection was really all that bad, limited, yes, but really, what would you prefer to have instead? Functionally it probably won't be much different than what you got.

ive been wanting to try left 4 dead but my XBox 360 has the [size=24px] RED RING OF DEATH [/size] so i cant play anything on it right now.
but its going over to Micr$oft for repairs right now.

They were pretty good with mine when it did that...got a replacement with no problems..was lucky, even got one of the newer models (with HDMI port).

Yup, can't wait until I get my copy of L4Dead :(
But, mine will be PC version...

I was originally gonna get it for PC, but that's before I realized that it'd be perfect for some LAN parties. :P

With the world economies takign a dive, our exchange rate is now very horrible (unless you're from overseas comming to visit us, then it's good), so the prices have gone up a bit.
XBox version is just far too expensive, it's about 1/3rd more of the price of the PC version...with the exchange rate, even the steam price is more than the retail, which is bad, cause the steam price was always cheaper for us...

We had a pretty intense lan party at my palce the other day, 13 straight hours of left 4 dead... many achievements were unlocked that day.... highest zombie kill total for me (I was a headshot and kill whore) was 630 something I believe. it... was.... EPIC.

It was a lot of fun. I found killing tanks in single player is a LOT easier for some reason.

Beat my score again, 793 common infected killed in Dead Air. That was awesome. No deaths, 1 incapacitation, 6 medkits used, 3 pills used, 35%accuracy, 10%of accuracy rating was headshots. Over 2000 zombies were harmed in the making of that film. It was another epic campaign.

You should beat that score of 1000 pretty soon the way you're going at it!

Unlike me, where when I get faster laps on Maple Valley Reverse with a Peugeot 908... they already set a new world record time that's faster than the previous.... so instead of only be 1.1 seconds off the world record, I'm 1.3! Well.... I'll take being number 70 of 91816 people!

I had to return the game to the local rental place.... Didnt break 898 like I was hopin..... Playing Halo or Losy planet... kinda makes me giggle... its just not as violent.... I miss the extreme violence.

I got it the day after XMas, but the first campaign I played, our team got wiped out at the final part. :(

I feel sad, but killing the tank was epic. :)

I must say, that director thing does work, it does seem to be different everytime I play it....

And yeah, that Director thing is pretty awesome. Usually seems to run in a fairly predictable way, but still different enough each run to keep tension high.

the only problem is if the director puts a witch in a place that you must pass and not make that in the other team.
but then, without it it would be too predictable.
(My brother got it, but it is in Steam, so if i want to play online i must buy another copy. but I'm considering to ask my brother to buy another too(99R$ here). it's fun(I played it with his friend steam(while the friend was travelling), and I even made a tactic with the smoker. :d

Steam has a massive sale until 2nd Jan. I think I saw L4Dead for aorund US$ 37
UT3 is going at a bargin US$ 9 !!
Quite a few other specials, older games are going very cheap, but the newer ones are still quite high, although there are big discounts on some of them...
