| Post subject: | CSS and HL: Death match troubles... |
So i have HL: Death match and Counter Strike: Source installed on Steam, they work and run fine... The problem is, I cant join any of the servers that i see. I had my dad turn off the internet proxy(which does me good with some other problems), but that didnt fix my problem with CSS or HL:DM. My dad also has a router connected to our internet, which acts as a firewall in away. Any suggestions or ideas on whats wrong here? Steam should have these games(including Day of Defeat Source) up to date and all that so they should work perfectly... |

I'd say so... UT2004, Nexuiz, Doom3, True Comabat: Elite, Halo, Tremulous, Urban Terror, Warso, etc... |

You would need to check that your router/firewall allows steam and the HL games through. It could be blocking them... But you say all your other games work..and your steam is up todate...mmm.... Does it give you any specific error or message, or does it just not connect? |

It says the servers are not responding when i try to join them... Thats a lot of servers too, I've also tried Counter Strike, Half Life, and The Specialist(HL mod). I guess i'll have to look up the ports for Steam games and make the router allow connection... or something. |

Hmm... I think I've had this problem as well. Sometimes when I connect to TF2 servers it says that the server is not responding. Usually the problem fixes it self up after a couple minutes of continuously spamming the join button. I don't know what causes it or what fixes it. |
