what about a virtual-reality machine that you can enter and play a game, and has incredible graphics? in it you can activate a realistic mode that allows you to die in real life if you die in the game. that will control population in Earth, you know. Crysis will be a museum piece next to that

What's the point of the 'quantum' here? You mean the concept of copying the quantum state of the subject's atoms to a new set of atoms on the other side? Technically that kind of teleportation leads to death and one is simply copied atom-by-atom. |

quantum means the smallest possible amount, i think, so yeah would probably kill you or shrink you somehow how about a guitar with no strings, has a sensor on the body for when you "strum" and the neck has pressure sensitive touchpads |

A 'Nano Constructer', would have the abilty to turn atoms or energy into solid matter of any form, since evrything is made up of nothing but 'Energy' in it's purest form, whatever you wanted would be 'Created' before your very eyes.. Nano technology is rumored to not be far off(Only problem is that most of the earths population wont have any power or control over others, and they wont let that happen now will they).. I'm hungry, maybe i'll convert some sewage to a burger.. Hey it's possible!!! |

Yes and no. As far as I know quantum physics is a mathematical model to explain how the smallest building blocks of the universe interact. Quantum computing is an exciting, on-going project that will be using quantum entanglement and the super-spin theory (dunno if that is the right name, but it means an atom spins in two directions at the same time); the latter gives the qbit its ability to store both 0 and 1 simultaneously. |

Good god, a pc with the ability to run Halo 3, Gears 2 and Killzone 2 like a top end Alienware running the original Half Life, and constantly upgrade itself with that invention. Or just a small portable platform capable of producing any food you want in the highest quality. This way you solve drunken munchies easier. |
