http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7811550.stm Yep, China has taken it upon themselves to 'clean up' the internet... Firstly, how does one do this with multi-billion dollar companies like Google being some of the offenders? |

It'll never happen, china is way too controlling over its population and if they even try to spy on me and stop my internet i'll **** them with a ****** **** ** next to a ***** and if **** ****** then i'll **** ****** **** marshmellows! |

Seriously, thats not an easy task, and I doubt they would get it right...luckily the whole world is not ruled by them, and a lot of countries have the whole freedom of speech viewpoint, so it is not really enforcable all over...but it is very doable within China itself....but I guess if you really want to get to those sites you could anyway (I can think of two methods that pop immediatly in to mind)... |

I'm living in China right now. Personally, as much as it sucks to have things censored by the government, in a way, I appreciate it. They are looking out for morality. It's all Confucian influenced if you think about it. On the other hand, this is actually pretty hilarious. Seriously when porn gets sold on the sidewalks by the street vendors and you can bargain for it... |

Ya, China... a continuation of the already failed Communist experiment. They've been trending pretty heavily towards Socialism, I believe. The state only directs about a third of China's industry. |

Simple, it can't be done. The internet is a massive city run by no one and doesn't have any laws. We are bound by laws set by our country, so the best China can do is to block local access to selected websites. (but it is bad enough that they are attempting to enforce a subjective view onto everyone else) |

if the Chinese try and take my porn, i will take up a rifle and invade china. im not even kidding. 1.3 billion against 1. on a more serious note, i dont think its actually possible to do this, since as bjossi said, the internet is a massive city with no central government. |
