Seriously 2.0 + Party like its 1999 and the Impossible Horde

If you have Gears of War 2, you'll understand the title, for those who don't, let me explain.

In GoW2, there are two achievements, two messed up achievements, the Seriously 2.0 achievement and Party Like its 1999. The former requires you to get 100,000 kills (any mode, so bots, campaign, online... its only saving grace), while the latter requires you to play 1999 rounds in multiplayer.

For those who have GoW2, post your most recent kill count (when it pops up) and multiplayer round count. Maybe one day their will be someone who attains 100,000 kills :P

Since Horde is also another one of those holy grails of GoW2, why not post the highest level you got too?


I'm at 1,800 roughly kills.

Ah. Wow. Well, I'd recommend playing lots of that invasioney gametype they got in GoW2. I imagine you could rack up the kills fairly quickly.

Is GoW2 moddable? If so, then just modify a gun so that it has infinite ammo, no reload, and play in a room with 20 bots that instantly respawn after they die.

Its a console game... aka, not moddable.

Yeah, their are a few levels you can rack up a lot of kills in. You really should get it, best offline console game to date. The multiplayer bots are wonderful and this will mean more companies will have bot support on the console game (which they r totally against... at least microsoft is).

*Edit*

I'm at 2100 kills (roughly) now. Half through my second solo play through of the game on Hard.
And i have 100 multiplayer rounds played.

I'm at 2500 kills and 190 rounds.

GOW2 is sooo awesome, i love it. i love playing as a cyclops, there wicked. i've had it since christmas and i'm only at 2500.... shit.

I'm now at something like 2300 kills. Just got into the Hive 'Act'. I honestly find it a daunting task to attempt GoW2 on Insane mode.


With a buddy of mine, we managed to get to level 14 in Horde.

Looks like you are really going all out for this achievement stuff. :P

I, on the other hand, am trying to 100% beat Far Cry 2 besides the useless bar missions that give you absolutely nothing for doing them (not even an achievement), so those don't count in my 100% run. So far I've got 187 of 221 diamond cases, all assassination missions done, all buddy-side main missions, and cannot continue on the last 16% of the game until I find the rest of the cases. 84% is right before end-game pretty much, there's no turning back after that...

Sick. I think I'm just going to replay through Insane with a buddy of mine. We did it in normal (over three separate days) and it was a lot of fun.

Really makes me want to beat GoW on Insane for Co-Op.

Still 3150 kills (i think i over counted b4). somewhere near 185 multiplayer rounds played.

Just press Y with every gun, theres the quickly take-down which is B, the curb stomp which is X, the Beat-down, the Sledge hammer, the guilotine, the handle smasher!

Theres also the extending kill with the boom shield, i forgot that one. i'm on 4400 kills now, i've been playing it loads!
