Post subject:  General Protection Fault!!

Every time i play it crashes to the desktop and I get this message. Any ideas what's wrong? I might just have to wipe my whole hard drive... :((

UT2004 Build UT2004_Build_[2005-11-23_16.22]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 1810 MHz with 1022MB RAM

Have you tried just reinstalling UT2004?

Try use software or OpenGL rendering and see if it crashes then.

update these things:

your graphics card driver
your directx version
your game

when does it crash, when getting into the game or a map?

looks like a rendering crash..

It is. The game errors out when executing a function within the D3D module. A driver update could potentially fix it.
