:P

I like that it will include more maps! the Greed gametype sounds cool.
The only part that i don't quite liked in betrayer is that it is played with instagib! but I'm certain that the community can change that!
the titans and behemoths can be actually nice in Warfare and VCTF, but in DM it might be silly :P
unless it is TDM, then there will be some strategy.
TBH i would prefer another Necris vehicle than a modified Hellbender, but let's see if it will be cool. it's deployables are cool though!
This + Patch 2.0 will be awesome!

Aw man... that Titan thing sounds pretty lame...

And since when is a Behemoth more powerful than a Titan? Titans were born of the Earth and fought with the gods (in Greek Mythology), while a Behemoth is just some big creature.

Plus, you know, in Unreal, Behemoths weren't nearly as tough as a Titan.

Ah well.

The Betrayal and Greed gametypes sound interesting.

StealthBender is pretty lame. You'd think they could design a new vehicle instead of rehashing the HellBender. And deployables don't mean much to me. You can play the game for hours before realizing they're even in there. And when you get them its more of a nuisance than a boon...

Well, the only thing I'm really looking forward to in that case is the patch. A new UI is definitely needed.

Maps might be fun too, dunno.

I was disappointed as well, the "new" stuff is just going to be a rehash of what we have already, it seems. And why in the world are they limiting the Titan/Behemoth mutator so much? In a desperate attempt to balance something doomed to be unbalanced?

Me too, but hey, new maps are always awesome.

But why include steam? I know it's popular and all, but my dad says that butts in our business.

Who are you talking to? We are all glad that Epic used the little they have left of common sense and decided to make a mega-patch. And for the record those "poor guys" who are "stuck" playing instant action are actually the vast majority of the playerbase.

That was the Titan Pack I'm criticizing, not the patch...

Funny...

A "Titan Pack" where the "Behemoth" is the strongest player character...

A slew of new maps, but none of the classic mutators...

STILL no Malcolm around.

Just switch the Titan and the Behemoth around, and we're all good... but I still won't buy this crap.

Epic couldn't make proper gore system even if their lives were at stake. I say wait for professionals like the Runestorm guys to make one, perhaps it'll be for one of the MSUC phases.

have you nothing else better to do than criticize epic , sheesh if you don't like UT3 go play something else and wait on Runestorm content like you always do , and you guys aren't the majority here Hedsteem has a freaking huge player base in comparison to this coop

That's the plan. Other then the immensely pretty graphics, I have very little reason to play UT3.

And graphics don't make a game.

I can do this all day if you want %-6 , and any who UT3 Has a better over feel than UT04. Half you guys whine cause you don't have the rig to run it or lack proper internets to actually play the real side of UT, since when do bots provide a challenge?(Unless their godlike which is not fun). Anyway like I said before don't criticize the titan pack until you played with it unless you wish to waste space here other wise.

I max it out just fine and have 10 Mbps broadband at home.

I max all my games out in graphics. Thats not really a problem.

Personally, when I play multiplayer in a game, I play it with a group of friends, about once a week. That's about all I'd want to play for MP.

I don't actually do a lot of video game playing at home. I spend more time modding things out or making new content. By the time I actually play a game its generally to test out the stuff I'm working on.

I've played games online. Unless I know who they are and am in the same room, its not very fun. Just feels like I'm playing against Godlike Bots (or often less then that). It doesn't appeal to me.

Plus I think there's only one person whining here, and its not me or Bjossi...

holy shit, be glad to live in Europe. Here in Brazil having a 10 Mbps broadband is really expensive.
but I can max it with my desktop pc. actually, I can play Crysis in High settings. and UT3 with almost warfare ++ ( a mod which allows 64 bots in each team).

ironically I can't play with 128 bots in Ut2004 with ballistic weapons... unless I turn decals off.
RS should make better optimization in decals in Crucible. remember that, guys!

Author:  Bjossi [ Wed Feb 25, 2009 7:13 pm ]
Post subject:  http://www.beyondunreal.com/articles/titan-pack-reveal/

It may not be a matter of optimization. Remember that with BW the RS guys are stuck with Epic's engine build, they have no access to any code except uscript, and I believe that doesn't cover the rendering at all.

Because something runs bad doesn't guarantee that it is poorly optimized.

Wow... Are you a psychic? How did you know I only have a Core Duo processor, GeForce 7200 GFX card and 4GBs of RAM... and that I play over the "Internets" all the time... with L4D mind you, not Epic's piece of crap.

Actually, I think he just need to put into his head that not all who criticize UT3 "have poor rigs and Internets."

I play UT3 full settings... its fun but Ut3 gets boring after a while. Ive played it multiplayer but ends up getting a little boring as well.

Titan sounds rather lame... Also the stealth bender seems a bit lame as well just being a rehashed hellbender.

The game itself felt incomplete and unfinished when they released it. Kinda like they released it and expected the fanbase to complete it for them.

Fun game but I'd rather play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear sky
