Hello there!
Recently I have been writing a story, (no sneek peeks here) anyhoo I decided to draw one of the characters.
Enjoy (or not ;))

I know I'm terrible at drawing so I don't mind any comments on my skills, but what do you think of the character in general... I know that I have not told you much about him, so here is some info:
Name: Malcome (Mal)
Abilities: Shapechanger, TimeControler, Dimension Jump, and manymore, you will have to read the book (if I ever release it...)
Age: I cannot quite decide... over 2000 years
Species: was human now an "Old One"

You might wanna specify the artist here since I have a song called Blue by Yngwie Malmsteen. It's just an instrumental thing he did, calling it Blue since it, to him, had a bluesy feel to it.

At least that drawing's about where I stand in artwork... So I consider it pretty good. We can't ALL be Zaushes and Meeshes. :P Same goes for every sort of thing. Not everyone's Michael Schumacher, or Michael Jordan, or Jimi Hendrix.

Well the parenthesis part made me simply think it was just you making the sounds of a part of the song lol. Sorry about that confusion, but I still think I'll stick to listening to Rise Against for the time being. I've been listening to pretty much only their songs for about 4 days now whenever I can!

Make it look like a light source is shining on the character, so the sides not directly affected by the light source will be darker. It helps the 3D look.

This is why I normally stick to painting warhammer, it is easier to tell where the light should go.

its not that bad, for i have seen worse on DA.
i love drawing aswell. mostly SCI-FI Crap,Warhammer 40k stuff, furry(Mostly Scalies 8) ), Mecha,Guns,Milatary,robots,Space Marines,Violence,Military style Respirators(think Helghast or Combine) Generic weird shit,A small series i made about Colonial Space Marines fighting a race of fuzzy pink critters that looks like a mix between carebares,teletubbys,and whinnie the pooh characters that are on a crusade against anything "uncute" with little toylike Rayguns and the CSM fight for there survival of mankind. (School induced boredom x) ).
once i get my Intuos Art Tablet i will be willing to show you what i can draw. :d

I make designs but even me I didn't use well the shadows and instead of using shadows I use details to give some relief in my designs sometimes those details gives some effects that shadows can bring into a design, And don't worry I'm not a great designer, I am far from that, just design thing that look like to something

pretty good drawings there! I don't draw that good.
I'm still making stick figures when i make histories :P
though in individual drawings i make them 3D!
I liked that rune, btw.
for some reason it looks egiptian to me. perhaps the eyes look like these eyes that egiptians drew in ancient times. it looks cool!
hey, since ancient times egiptians were already drawing furries... %-6

The runes never seems to be problematic IMO, it's more about some relief aspects, personally it's perhaps easier for my kind of designs to uses the details to bring some relief aspects in a machine than an organic creature, perhaps my tip couldn't work for your design, anyway it seems to look like the Egyptian god Anubis in style therms the eye form and the hair reinforces that style IMO

I see what you mean... I just like long hair on a man who is more powerful than human.
As for the eyes, you will not believe this, but I got my inspiration from "Impossible Creatures" or more correctly the tiger on the front of the box (look at the left eye up-side-down (It was on my desk facing away from me when I was drawing.)) (You learn something new every day...)

Tis a pretty nice drawing you got there. I'm still working in the idea of key points of drawing before I even start coloring my stuff. At least you have most of the major points of drawing down...

And yeah, the Egyptians probably were the first furries, or at least artists of it all.

Ah Yes It seems be unbelievable, but who knows :D, even my own designs seems to some persons to came from an other inspiration I took before ;) since you have some "auto criticism" you can enhance the aspects from your own designs with more ease even if some exterior opinions helps much, your design is cool, you need just to arrange some things and it depends what style you wanted to give

Those pics aren't that bad.. some can't even do blobs, or blotches, because they don't know how to use pens..
