I'm currently in the market for a SLR. Firstly I my limits are like $1500 for everything, assessories, the camera, maybe even an extra lens. I'm looking into the Nikon D90, and know of the Canon Rebel XSI. Pretty much I'm looking for fast pictures (even with flash), outdoor and indoor (more outdoor like landscapes and buliding and zoom ups on plants) UP |

I don't know much about digital SLRs, but I would seriously sugest that you buy a zoom lens with added macro function for closeups. Also, buy a cheap clear filter to go on the end of each lens. It prevents the actual glass of the lens getting scratched. |

If you're considering a $1.5k wpending limit, then I guess you're not looking for a petty $100 ten Megapixel 5X optical zoom camera? My brother has a camera with about those specs and it has served him well. It can even handle some real up-close pictures, like snapping a photo of the hairs on your arm. |
