Does anyone know where to get Fallout 1 or 2 for a reasonable price? It doesn't have to be an actual hard copy, but all I want is to have a game that is fully patchable, so I can get the unofficial patch and restoration mod. I'm not going to Amazon. Somehow a fresh copy is worth $59.95? I've seen MVP Baseball 2005 cost nearly $100 over there too! -_- |

Hello there! From GAME would be your best bet, you can buy fallout 1, 2 and tactics for about £10 Follow this Link to the "GAME" website I always cannot find the website... Raziel P.S I personally didn't like fallout 2, but I got it for free with fallout 1 and tactics (Tactics is awesome!) |

I think Fallout 2 was the best one, i didnt liked about Tactics is that you go from one mission to the other, unlike other two where it is open world with lots of ways to complete your goal. Speaking of Fallout prvoken nostalgia in me, probably will go and install it right now.

anyway, the collection is the cheapest and easiest way to get all three, then you can decide which you like best (fallout 1 and tactics  )
Raziel P.S as you say P_Colossus, Tactics is very different from the other two, but then sometimes saying the right thing to the right people is very boring; in which case send a squad of men in to kill them all (tactics isn't all that tactical now that I think about it...) |

I got that same Fallout Collection myself. 
I loved Tactics. I really love that style of game in general, so it was pretty easy for me to like it. But one thing I didn't like about all three of those as a whole was that there seemed to be too much emphasis on leveling up. Last I played it (Fallout 1), I was at level 8 or so, and couldn't go any further at all in my various missions because I would die just about instantly to any of the enemies I had to fight so I can get past. I just don't find a lot of fun leveling up just so I can progress in the story. I'd much rather level up because I progressed in the story (yes, I know you get EXP by completing quests, buts its not enough to level yourself up easily). Wasn't too big of a fan in Fallout 3 either. Felt too much like Oblivion to me, and Oblivion just isn't real fun for me. I played it for a few days, then it kept crashing on me (Typical Oblivion engine...) and I felt it wasn't worth the effort to patch it or otherwise troubleshoot the problem. |

I always found leveling up easy ( I got the water chip early on, then went on hundreds of bounty missions). If you find leveling up difficult on fallout 1 there is a glitch. I have not tried it but apparently you can kill the "mother deathclaw" once and get rewarded for it infinate times (1000 exp a pop). You will have to check on the internet as you have to do it EXACTLY for it to work. Raziel P.S as for the other two I dunno... I always went around on tactics with a knife... found all of the bonus characters too... |
