Here is the intro to my story: (I know I said I would not post it but meh)

Elizabeth woke up.
She got dressed and went to the kitchen, half awake. She looked at the calendar whilst she made a strong coffee, no milk
Charlotte’s getting married today she took a sip of her coffee Lucky B**ch.


As Elizabeth walked to the phone she was thinking of an excuse. She dialed the number and told Charlotte her excuse.
“Oh, Liz, come on. Please come; when was the last time that you went out for fun?â€Â

Only just joined DA, but I have read a few (they confused me but were good).

Anyhoo "What is Elizabeth" I believe was a question.
A furry (cat) I have been trying (and failing) to draw her (I am telling you as the book will not be finished for months).

P.S does anyone know how long I can copyright something (eg the story (then I would be able to post parts of it;)))

I think copyright for books lasts about 80 years, though I'm probably wrong. Anyhow, copyright does last for a considerable time + its unlikely that anyone else would steal your work.

Copyright last 60 years, after the death of the creator.

But you need proof that you created this story to have any power with the copyright, if i were you, i'd make another copy of the chapters you've made, and send them in THE MAIL to YOURSELF. DON'T NOT OPEN IT. Just keep it safe whe it arrives. That counts as something in court as the postal service don't make faulse dates.
