| Post subject: | Just a few quick Qs about BW not being hosted here... |
Here is a few questions that I thought of (and am currently worrying about) 1. Will links to the BW download be kept? I may need to formt my computer in the future and want to know where I can find BW. 2. Will the idea zone be closed or will the ideas be used in other RS projects? 3. Is junkwars being "discontinued" too? (couldn't think of a better term for it at the time, will edit when I do think of a better word) 4. (not really about BW not being hosted here but) what is RS currently working on other than the crucible weapons? (or do you make them one mod at a time?) 5. (linked to 4) I don't know how to mod but I come up with many ideas; is there anything I can help with? (thinkg of drawing concept weapons/maps/vehicles) Any answers would be great Raziel P.S I may add more questions if any leap to mind. P.P.S I mean no offense by any of the above (especially with 3 & 4) |

1. As far as I know this only affects the forums, so if I'm right about that the downloads will stay. 2. Idea Zone will eventually be closed and its location moved to bwcommunity.com. Unfortunately the developers will most likely not be using the ideas, but there is a good chance our fellow BW fans over at bwcommunity.com will be happy to put them to good use in their future BW mods & weapon packs. 3. JW is discontinued like BW. 4. Not that I know of, Crucible is a pretty big project. |

1: I'm sure the links will be kept. We're not eradicating the memory of BW 
2: Can't say for sure.. 3: Junkwar will be discontinued, yes. It never made as much impact as BW and it was just asmaller project for us. 4: We're working on the Crucible, not just the weapons.. 
5: We had the same problem. Years ago we had many ideas, but had no skills. So we just started modding, and here we are. I hope this helps

Just to re-enforce SB's reply: 1. Yes, we will try to keep them as long as possible. I'm not sure how long sites such as moddb keep the files. I will try to keep the old files here as long as possible. If anyone ever needs them and can't find a link, they can always PM me as I do keep such things backed up at home. 2. The idea zone is a sticky one. I do like all the ideas people come up with, but we need to be realistic and draw the line somewhere. Sadly most ideas don't make it in to the mod. If you have specific BW ideas, use the BW Community site to share those, as there are people there still modding BW. 3. Yes. It was a small fun project. 4. See all the news and the wiki here
5. Its guys like you who keeping modding alive. We may (or may not) merge all the ideas in to one forum. For now, the best place for BW specific ideas is BW Community.
