I've always been a fan of Mapmixer for UT2004. It definitely took a little bit to get used to it, but once I did, I definitely appreciated the control it gave me. Now, it's out for UT3. I installed it and haven't spent long looking at it, but I think I like it. If you've resented the simplicity and limitations of the regular UT3 UI, this may be something you want. http://mapmixer.oceaniaut.com/index.php ... =downloads |

Yeah, I downloaded it. It's pretty useful and has lots of features. You can even create new factions ( so you can make a Heaven vs Hell match) and it also supports 4-team domination. |

What would be in your heaven and hell factions? I asume the hell factions would contain the zombies and some other unnatural-looking skins at skin city, but what would be in the heaven faction? Samus? |

Don't try and start a political flame war. This thread is about the mapmixer, not about the president or politics. |

Good save, Sgt. So, I was toying around with the Mapmixer and thought I'd share what took me a while to realize. In the UT2004 Mapmixer, you setup all the rules and then can change the map willy nilly and have all the rules apply. However, in Mapmixer for UT3, I kept hitting the "quick game" button or something like that thinking it would behave the same and was surprised when it didn't. So, just remember that the quick game does not hold all the rules you setup for the advanced settings. The quick game button, however, does let you setup some rules like mutators and bots for each game type that you will need to save for every game type. There is a seperate button to press to launch a map with your current advanced settings. |

I find the Quick game option useful to test maps or mutators. but when I want to play I use the advanced option. Mapmixer has so many options that I won't even discover in my lifetime
