So driving tests are ridiculously difficult over there in Canada too? Not long ago the 67 members of parliament here were asked to take the driving test again because it was believed to be overly difficult, 40% of them failed the test.

I did my learners in March. I was the only one that passed :P Just learning to drive now.. That clutch is a b***h! :D

You think learning to drive with a clutch is hard, try driving with a clutch for 4 years and then attempt to drive a car with automatic transmission. My left foot almost slammed on the break pedal a couple times out of force of habit. Fortunately, it did cause the person who wa tailgating me to back off a bit.

With all the former (and current) crack-heads and reckless drivers we have in the U.S. congress, I am not very surprised.

I wasn't talking about the U.S. congress.

I know, just saying if things are in any way similar between the politicians here and there, then I'm not surprised they can't pass their tests.

All politicians are slimeballs, but similar driving habits? I think I can safely answer no, California alone is many times bigger than Iceland, driving habits are doomed to be different given the smaller scale cities and traffic. And they probably did not fail the driving test itself anyway (how can you do that with decades of experience?), just the question-answering part.

I remember the only thing I messed up with the driving test was the emergency brake. I simply could not find where it was in that damn car they used for the test. Before that vehicle, every vehicle I had driven all just had the e-brake as the lever on the console. Stupid Chevy and putting it as a foot pedal thing...

Your driving test was in a differnet car? When I took my test, it was in the car I had always driven.

Haha, thankfully no. :P
It was pretty harsh though. Just barely got it.

Anyway, it sucks that you didn't pass the test, UP. You just have to keep trying.
