Please be aware that this website will be offline later this week/weekend for quite a few hours. We will be giving the site a make over. It has been around 3 years this site has stayed the same, and we have now pretty much outgrown it. We are putting a better forum system in to place as well as improving the overall look and feel of the site. There will be some other changes, but we will let you experience them for yourselves
We will advise on the exact day as soon as we have established the date we can do it on, due to other issues in the background. Please keep checking back here through out the week for more information. |

will it feature an option to put custom title's to under the user names?
also, will it use a different forum engine, or is it the same? |

![]() also, will it use a different forum engine, or is it the same? No to custom titles for now.... Yes, it is going to a different forum system. I should add: We are going to be a lot more strict about attachments/avatars and signatures on the revamped site.... |

![]() Really? apologies for any inconvenience i may have caused with my Sigs. Adblock plus can block images. (advice) also, Cyberax, what are the limitations gonna be specifically? |

Flashy signatures don't slow down page loads for me, but they're annoying as hell. If the new forum will have an option to hide signatures that would be a huge improvement. Though I may not end up using such an option, I'm a moderator after all. Anyway, it's nice to hear that we're gonna be more strict on what people put in their profiles (avatar, signature, etc.). I would see forbidding animated pictures altogether and putting a size limit on signatures to be a good start. |

We are still deciding on the exact restrictions. We will post the info so that everyone does know when we have the info set in stone

I'd think replacing animated or large sigs with a link to the sig might be a good compromise. You can format the forum to discuss ideas and get things done or you can design the forum to be like facebook, but you can't do both effectively, right? Maybe even have a dial-up check box in each user's profile. |

well, i don't like the idea of Prohibiting animated Sigs.
i am cool with 1 image per signature, however. |

well, for one thing: the red is quite a striking contrast to the blue that i have grown so used to. the Signature image size, the Limit is Far to low. X185 would be better. and the new smilies, well, not that great. TBH, i kinda liked the old one. but that probably because im so accustomed to the old layout. |

We have to limit the size, people get out of hand..but we can perhaps make it wider... Smilies...we are still working on those...but I have added quite a few...what do you think now

much more variety. i like it. (what? no ?) you have burgerking , but no awesomeface. whenever i make a custom signature, i always set a height limit of 185. No higher. (Although most of the time it's less then that.) |

Drake wrote: the Signature image size, the Limit is Far to low. 150 is more than enough. If you don't appreciate what you have, we could always reduce the maximum height some more, does 100 sound good?

This place is sorely missing a 'mark all boards as read' or similar button. I can't see which boards have new posts or just old ones made new due to the switch. Also: try livin with 80px high! |

It took me a while to find the mark forums as read button but I spotted it right above the 'Last post' column in the main index. Mark topics read can be found in the same place within individual forums. |

The amount you see to the right will probably be trimmed down a bit more. |

In my opinion we need a more standardized set of smileys, I mean pick just one art direction and use that for the entire smiley collection, right now it is a messy collection of several different art designs. |
