Yes. You can actually turn off your computer and it saves your bandwidth. They're often high speed as well. |

so with a server = less lag? and hosting a Listen server here would be insanely lagged for most of the world? |

If I am making a server it is lagless. The ping of other players is between 30-40 ms. If your computer is able to handle the game very well it shouldnt be a problem. I have got an 1MB/sec Internet connection so the upload is also good. But as CX said, you cant turn off your computer and if you have a firewall you have to open all ports for UT2004. I think it is too expensive to pay a server for private matches. |

ok, htanks for the replies! I assume that hosting from a PC here should be really laggy, right? for north america, europe, australia...? |
