*shakes head undecided* It's got to be chainsaws... if you want something like a lightsaber get a WH40k power weapon... Raziel P.S CHAINFISTS! |

According to 40K light sabers are better, but vary expensive, besides I like standard issue gear better, you get more of a “man of the people feel.†|

An antimatter saber would annihilate itself as soon as it turned on.

Chainsaw, but I would prefer a sledgehammer, really. Sure, harder to hit with, slower, and usually vulnerable shaft. Still, to sweep it across a room and crush someone's head is quite satisfying. |

Well, it if looks like a chainsaw, operates like a chainsaw, and sounds like a chainsaw, it's probably a chainsaw. |

I'd take a polesaw over a regular chainsaw anyways. But... then again, it'd be a helluva lot easier to cut down a tree with a lightsaber. Just gotta make sure with either you never touch the wrong part of the things! |

Sergeant Kelly wrote: An antimatter saber would annihilate itself as soon as it turned on. ![]() not if it was built correctly... instead of the main blade being made of antimatter it would have thousands of photons trapped within the blade and when a trigger is pulled it would release said photons which would turn into a matter and antimatter quark or particle... due to it annihilating as soon as it leaves the blade it would only be useful for melee attacks... I don't think Derak had this in mind when he came up with his theory XD (spelled wrong... probably) deadly_game wrote: Whats an example of a Chainsaw like device? um... one which is not a chainsaw, but is like a chainsaw... tricky... Chainfist? (WH40k referance) hedge trimmers? conveyor belts? Mal P.S No offense meant Sergeant Kelly... just thinking of ways in which it could work... |

A chainsword or light sabers are chainsaws even the nanosword and such weapons (pretty much all weapons I mentioned in my list) They are just transposed in a different manner and have some different effects, forms, weight and technology The got some similarities and are all cousins

Mal P.S sorry if you have already said... I'm kinda only half awake... |

The chainsaw itself is unique because it's heavy and have a particular handling, but the other weapons can be used as chainsaws they can cut without to apply a great force or swing every time you can run and everything you touch with the weapon's blade is damaged

Of course a lightsaber is superior to a chainsaw, but it's less satisfying to kill someone in such a clean way. In starwars it seems as if the blade even disintergrates the blood spillt, thus making it rather dull. A chainsaw also got that terrifying roar, and looks meaner. Sure, the lightsaber can cut through walls, but is actually horrible at blocking ranged attacks- the projectiles must be very slow, and weapons such as lasers (actual beams, not sci-fi bolts), crossbow bolts and bullets would be impossible, a shotgun or flamethrower would be devastating. The chainsaw could possibly block a bullet, on the expense of it working afterwards, however this is requires good reflexes and strength, and it would be a fantastic feat to pull off. Lightsabers are superior, sure, the chainsaw user would get his weapon cut in half by the lightsaber, but as chainsaw users tend to, he would probably draw a sawed-off shotgun instead and win anyway. |

CHAINSAWS! Mal P.S *shrugs* |
