Post subject:  Name meaning?
i thought i would make this topic to get to know each other better
is there a mystical reason why you have your name?
or did you just blindly think of it?

myne starts in 2006
i was the best gamer my strategic knowledge beat everyone so i joined a game called territory war and started my quest for dominance
first i bea the easys
and then the mediums were harder
but i got to the final battle to beat the pro
he was just at my standards he was a...... challenge
anyway I KICKED HIS ASS!!!
i said grenades are better than rifles you know
and he said wtf you grizzlykiller
about a year later i needed a profile name but i couldnt think
it was for ut3
eventually i remembered that battle and crowned myself GRIZZLYKILLER!!!!!

Drake is just an Overly Generic name.
my steam name: NaziTech Robotics INC. was the result of a TF2 server game where everyone should change there names to Corporations. real or made up. i gotten quite found of it. :)

SX is short for Storm X, which was a experimental name back in 2005-2006, a few years later, I decided to shorten it to SX due a bit of copyright issues I had with a story I was working on. SX2 is just SX but with a two since I have to have at least three characters in my username, :glare: .

Troggy is short for Troglodyte, which is an obscure word for caveman. Caveman is used at times in place of "moron" or "idiot".

Hordesman means one man of a horde. A horde is a mass of people or creatures.

Thus, I am an idiot of the masses.

The cleverest way I could think of to declare myself stupid.

I got mine from my father and I playing C&C Generals together. For some reason he started calling me Herr General (Mr. General in German) and the name stuck. Plus, now that I'm taking German classes it makes a bit more sense. :hello:

I got mine over some time,the SHADOW part came from Tribes,there was a specific level that had areas where you could go completely black,not too much use in that game due to sensors,but it inspired me.

Soon after I found it was incredibly common. So I made the 'O' a '0'.

That wasn't enough,so I decided to think of something I could affix to the end that nobody in their right mind would use. Hence the 'dump'.

I saw someone on UT2004 with the name "c0mbot". Since I use robot model I thought that would fit so well. I think he took the name from the robot in Red Faction called "Combot" probably "combat-robot". Also, I thought it sounded cute. :3

Or he took it from metal fatigue

Combot is also a character in Tekken 4, replacing Mokujin as the fighter who has no style and fights with a randomly selected style of another character. He was created by Lee Chao Lan.

Well lets see, i din't think of it much at the time, i've just decided to keep it, isn't too bad..

It's changed over the years, from an embarrassing, 'Kick', to 'Shredder', then 'Black Eagle'.

DC's, never changed..

I don't got much to say about mine. Basically, I figured my old ones were pretty lame, so I went and thought about one that would have versitility.

For example, Xavious could work as like an ancient Roman name, maybe a medieval European name, a futuristic name, and an awesome name.

I also think I was reading some Warhammer 40k novels at the time too, and it seemed to fit right in with the universe.

Anyone who has played Doom 3 should recognize the good/evil sergeant. It is not too common and thankfully works most of the time. There's also a real life Sergeant Kelly who got the medal of honor in WW2, which is pretty neat. :)

Years ago (2005), a man named Tom10 spawned in Lumbridge, Runescape. He thought he was so amazing - he had a bronze sword, a wooden shield and 90 gold coins. And he did OK. He made some money, he bought some armour.

That was until he crossed the bridge into east Lumbridge.

There he met some goblins. Thinking they were NPCs, he approached one to attempt to communicate with it. The goblin smashed his face in with a pike.

Deciding that discretion was the better part of valour , he decided not to respawn, instead letting his brother take over the Runescape business. Thus Tom103 was created, a horrible mix of my brother's and my ages. He died when he was spat on by a zombie.

At this point, the Toms were about ready to give up Runescape for ever. In desperation, one last account was created. Thinking the name was the problem, I looked at the list of suggested names. There, at the bottom, just as I was going to quit, one name caught my eye. I chose it and created a new man.

And he did not die.

He was not smashed by a goblin.

He was not spat on by a zombie.

He survived. He prospered. He became a true man.

His name?

I used to write lyrics and rap a bit for fun, my name was Luminous, for good reasons and because I thought it sounded neat.
And here I decided to add shadow behind it, making it an impossible word.
The result was LuminousShadow.

My name comes from when I was a little baby learning to say my name. According to my mom, this is how it went down...

"Say ste..."
"Ste!"
"Now say ven..."
"ven!"

I haven't a clue why I chose it, never wore ugly pants... mostly it was for a laugh, cause i didn't want anyone to take me seriously when i joined the Atari forums (then BU, than that Halo mod, than RuneStorm) :D
