Post subject:  Lighting question...

Compare the lighting between this tacky model of an M4 (my first) and the BW S-AR 12.

The S-AR's lighting looks like "Set Solid" from Blender in that it's totally crisp, whereas the lighting on the M4 looks like "Set Smooth" from Blender in that it's... well, see for yourself.

How do I make the lighting in UT2004 look similar to that of the S-AR 12?

Any help appreciated.

Edit: This can't be my fault, as I tried exporting the S-AR's mesh out as an .obj, importing it into Blender and exporting that as both .psk and .ase, and the same issue happens - Blender tinkers with the lighting.

Make sure the autosmooth functions are off. Any form of smoothing that gets applied to the model almost always screws it up.

It's definitely off. :(

I checked out some other custom content and it all seems to have the same lighting my models do. The M4 lights badly because I had a look at the model and it's actually of atrocious construction. Still, I'd love to know how to get solid lighting on models, as it looks good on weapons and doesn't require so many subdivisions.
