Bad Company 2 is not that bad.

If you're looking for a way better game than piece of crap COD:Modern Warfare 2, then you found it.

Agreed. It's an amazing piece of work, especially since it's more realistic than COD6 and also isn't buggier than a beekeeper's farm. The vehicles are great and it's balanced well- plus playing my 360 on my computer makes it look really nice too.

play it very thorough. I got the horribly short ending, its very easy to burn through that game. I think i liked clear the sky better, but that doesnt mean this isnt a good game, its worth playing. Theres a way to get to the Cordon (i think) but i couldnt figure it out before beating it. :geek:

I liked Call of Pripyat better than Clear Sky by quite a bit. With all the enhanced side quests it can take a decent amount of time.

I don't think you can get back to Cordon though.

Not an FPS, but Supreme commander 2 is a pretty win game, there have been a lot of complaints about dumming it down for people, but its just as fun.

As for FPS/RPG, Obvious one, Mass Effect 2. Expectional game.
Left 4 Dead 2 is really good fun as well.

My 2 cents.

Assassins Creed 2. I want that when it comes down a bit in price :)

I like to stay behind by a year or so before buying a game. It's alot easier on the pocket ;)

What do you mean
your playing 360 games on your computer or your 360 is linked to your computer

Post subject:  Re: good new games

You can link your 360 up to your computer so you see the 360 on your moniter, it looks better because a pc moniter has a much higher resolution than a TV screen.

Oh, and AC2 is pretty good, its fairly easy though.

Assassin's Creed II is the only game I have ever (and probably will ever) platinum on the PS3. But If you're looking for a solid game, try Strongold. It's an RTS, but a damn good one. The only one I've been able to ever sit through and play.

I've actually gone off FPS games for the while. Been playing Morrowind a lot. Ironic, really, because I just wrote a blog entry on why Oblivion was better...

Bullshit. And do keep in mind that most PS3/X360 games are not particularly hi-res (720p or even lower) so whether you use a typical HDTV or a PC monitor, there is a very good chance that upscaling is needed, which you want to avoid since most LCDs/TFTs look like crap when rendering at non-native resolutions.

It does look better than a standard TV though. I've also tried it in an HDTV with an HDMI cable and it looks about the same, athough the monitor needs anti-aliasing.

I do not recommend hooking an Xbox 360 up to a PC to play the games on it. One of the primary benefits of an Xbox is that you can play it on huge TVs in rooms specially designed for optimal sound output.

Since modern PCs are more powerful than Xboxes, you can get better visuals simply by buying the game for the PC and using it with the PC. (Xbox games are often capped at lower settings.) You can still plug in your controller if you really want to too.

You know you can plug a PC into a TV too.

Not worth it, in my opinion. It's a very, very impractical setup.

Agreed. Try sit back in your comfy sofa with a keyboard and mouse, you'll either need to use your legs or have really long arms, either way will be unplayable.

I tried gaming on a TV, once. My brother's coworker was hosting a little lan party and happened to have an exceedingly large plasma TV (and HDMI adapter). I setup the computer next to where I sat and used a piece of plywood to hold the mouse and keyboard. It worked out quite well. The only annoyance was that I had to set the board on the ground every time I got up. Definitely worth it to see life-sized gibs.

Have you heard of wireless mouse and keyboard?

Yes. And that has absolutely nothing to do with my argument.

Mirror's Edge is definitely a good new game to get. You may want to turn down the brightness to avoid going blind, though.

Alot more pixels in a PC moniter than in a standard TV but generally TV's are bigger, All i know Bjossi is that when i plug my 360 into my PC it looks a hell of a lot better. Theres nothing else to it, i plug it in and it looks better. But i'm in agreement with the TV thing, theres nothing nicer than sitting back on a comfy sofa and shredding some locust on GOW2. I primarily play TF2 and L4D2 on my PC, I'm waiting for Supcom 2 to come down in price.

I think the dissension about TVs vs. monitors is that there exist certain TVs that are better than certain monitors and there exist certain monitors that look better than certain TVs. Nobody is being specific on both elements in this comparison. I think if a TV has XXXp resolution, is is XXX pixels high. The width can be founf from the aspect ratio. For example, my monitor has 1680x1050 pixels, but a 720p TV has 720x1280 pixels, so the monitor would be the better choice if you are conicerned about a clear image (assuming native resolution in all cases). If your computer cannot handle the higher native resolution, then downgrading to a device with a lower native resolution your computer can handle might be prefereable.

Actually it means it can display pictures that have XXX horizontal lines.
