Not impressed. Why in the world did you choose a 9000 card instead of one in the 200 line? The entire 9000 line is just rebranded 8000s. You could get a much better card for subtle (if any) increase in price. But if it is a vast upgrade over your old card then that's a plus I guess. |

From my experiences with the 8800GT, I bet you'll love this 9500. After my card fried I upgraded to a GTX 460 though. Like Bjossi said, I would recommend a larger card jump. |

My GTX285 burns in green smokes. You won't be satisfied with a 9000 series card. |

Would love to build a SFF system with a real graphics card, the ITX/nano/pico boards prob. can't handle games like UT3 can they? Be cool to have a console sized system, that can handle real games though. ITX boards do have PCIe right? |

A bit of research pays off well with all things, and bigger numbers mean nothing.. Still, i'm sure you'll enjoy your card, don't be phased by the possiblilties of what you could have done better, everyone learns, no biggy.. |

Black Eagle wrote: and bigger numbers mean nothing.. If you can get bigger numbers practically for free like in this case, it does make quite a bit of difference. The newer generations (200 and 400) have big changes in architecture and technology as well that will make years of difference in how long the card stays competent on the scene. At the time when I bought my old 7900 GTX, the 7800 GTX was only a few dollars cheaper. But I agree, research pays off. This is no dooms day anyway. In its own right the 9500 GT is more than good enough for powering modern games at average graphical quality. Unless gaming is your life I would avoid the high-end stuff. |

GTA4 is not an easy game to run. My 8800GT struggled at Medium and even my GTX 460 lags a bit on Very High due to its rather poor optimization. (Not that you can really optimize a game that renders an entire city anyway.) |

While it would be an increase in performance, I would not call that a subtle increase in price. Also some of the GeForce 2XX series even comes with a StarCraft II trial. Remember way back in the day when bonus items were the real deal with no strings attached and not some carrot and stick? |

Oh, you're right, Bjossi; Tigerdirect does have some cheap hardware. The 9500 GT is $35 there. The $80 is still quite a step up from $35, but if you're doing more than flipping burgers part time, it's not too bad. |
