Ha!, still alive, god knows its been a while... :D

Well, if it's being handed over to the big boys, then maybe it'll actually be finished, lets hope.... ;)

It has gone from Duke Nukem Forever to Duke Nukem Took Forever.

Gearbox have never disappointed me before, I hope this won't be a first.

Can't really consider it a Gearbox game though :P

I wonder how much of it was actually done by 3DR and what more Gearbox needs to do..

I see it as a 'Seal of approval', if Gearbox want to put their name on the product, it must meet their standards. :P

Urgh, if you guys have ever played 007 Nightfire for the PC, you'll find that not all Gearbox's stuff shines. I'm hoping for the best with DNF, though.

Scores 8.0 on imdb. . .
And they tend to be awfully harsh over there.

I wonder what the Voice actor is like, maybe the same guy, probably a bit washed up now, he likely has 5 children and hefty bonds to break his youthful spirit.. :D

Guess we'll see, it should be quality at least, well it better be!... :-\

Don't worry for the voice actor, that's the same, we even heard the voice saying new replicas, I'm much more worried about the level design and the gameplay ...
Nightfire for PC wasn't bad but felt a lot flat and the gore was like many EA games, inexistent :(

Duke Nukem Forever: Forever a work in progress...Hopefully this time it will finish. By the sounds of it, it seems good. But I'll wait for a release announcement.

Which will be released first; Duke Nukem Forever or Black Mesa (Community remake of HL1, for those who don't know.)?

Hah, the correct answer is neither.

I am actually quite interested to see what this is like. The old one was quite fun, made back when games were more game and less shaft.

I hesitate between DNF and Bulletstorm

Post subject:  Re: Duke Nukem: For-now?

We'll see if they've made the modern game mistake of missing the "holy grail".... Still, lots of modern games are awesome, we'll see how this one is... :D

As long as they keep the recipe of the original, it should be fine.... ;)

Post subject:  Re: Duke Nukem: For-now?

My only gripe with the game is that Duke will only be able to carry a few (2?) weapons at a time. Missing The Point(tm) at its best.

Post subject:  Re: Duke Nukem: For-now?

That may not be to bad as long as you can carry the Shotgun and RPG at the same time :D

Post subject:  Re: Duke Nukem: For-now?

Oh I have this gripe about the two weapon swap, but also the quick time events during the boss fights

Post subject:  Re: Duke Nukem: For-now?

Only two guns and regenerating health... not things Duke was remembered for back in the day.

I'm going to miss running around rocket launchers, plasma cannons, shrink rays, and grenade launchers.
