this is a message to all of the horror movie writers STOP STICKING TO BASICS! i watched a horror movie today and i wasnt sartled a single bit i havnt seen it before. it was the deadening. Well why wasnt i scared, SImple becasee you already know who's going to die and who isnt, People always run behind a corner and start panting for a bit then look to see if the monster is gone, well NO IT ISNT. Horror movie Writers should learn people a little better. Okay, let me make a good horror movie basic now have the main character die in the middle of the film Have people survive have the monsters them chase but instead torment Them. Its simple and reduces our basic scale. unique things are happening all the time its unpredictable have monsters attack people in open areas that is unpredictable. this will scare people more than ever not knowing whats going to happen! |

Horror movies are almost always a joke, I'm not sure what you would classify M.Night Shalamans movies as, because they are more in line with how it should be done, none of this screaming and running crap, we need more movies like Signs and the Village, not some fluid gushing cackling "badies" and screaming fools...

If you want to see real horror movies, then stop watching the junk and go for the good stuff. Read reviews from enthusiasts within the genre to know what to look out for. |

I don't know there is a lot of horror movies who are just a gib gory fest rather than a scary movie. And others who just aren't able to make something scary at all. |

The actors/actresses alway end up pissing me off for the dumbness of their characters, I mean really run upstairs & trap yourself, hide to only gibe away you position somehow, everyone gather in one place for easy picking for the monster. Example, Wrong Turn 2 (the brothers who cam from insest) ok the people got away from the house, only to all end up running back & killed 1 by 1!!! |

I hate when all the women on the movies are helpless monster fodder. That's why I love the Alien movies so much. Ripley kicks ass! Actually, most movies Sigorney Weaver plays in feature her as a badass. Its such a refreshing change.

Yeah. She also played that badass chick in Fifth Element. It seems like she was in some other movies too, but I can't think of any at the moment. |

So one should ignore everyone else's opinions of something and buy lets say a really bad rated game because you want to form your own opinion after wasting your money?  Anyway, if he was really good, then everyone would be praising him, like Steven Spielberg... Of course, I wouldn't buy into what everyone else thinks too much, thats usually a very bad idea, but with games and movies it's a bit less of a Grey Area....

That goes without saying, but you gotta admit that the chances of you liking it are greatly reduced if it's not well rated, unless you like very different games/movies than most people, otherwise buying well rated games will give you a higher chance of a better game/movie, but there are people who just rate stuff horribly because they are idiots..... The point I'm making is this: You don't decide, I'm gonna try cocaine because i want to form my own opinion of it, do you?. Ok we're not talking about serious things like drugs, but the principle remains mostly the same.. In the end one can only go with one's own gut feeling though, so nobody is right in saying only one thing works or doesn't for all...

To a degree at least, I have never seen a review site or a reviewer who reflects my tastes for the most part. That would be awesome though, to have someone professional who I can almost trust 100% to predict accurately that I will like or dislike something. |
