Oh I didn't posted any coilgun there is one who looks quite professional http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LjnhhtHojM Yeah in an ideal world weapons should be virtual and never exist, but, that's the mankind, people always wants to fight each other for whatever interest ... And sell whatever destructive device ... But I can see that most sci fi weapons begins to exist from now Sound cannons (actually they are inoffensive) except for the vortex cannon, but it uses explosives, but if it's set with the right force people will just be punched out. Laser weapons, blinding lasers and true offensive laser weapons even it they aren't man portable. Lightning guns, less lethal weapons that throws lightning bolts. Water cannons, less lethal used in riots and even as a man portable device. Microwave guns, actually mounted on vehicles and used as less lethal weapons surprisingly, since high power microwave can well make people inflate and explode like pop corn  Railguns and Gauss guns, I just posted videos here, but energy can't be portable and also to reach a great muzzle velocity, the recoil will be higher. |
