Bad english skills there - i have loads of rams! plenty of sheep too, uhh... also got loads of cows and bulls, well not so many bulls. i also have a komodo dragon! imma good farmer!

6GB on the Laptop and 3GB on the PC. Makes running Company of Heroes and Crysis a breeze. :)

2gb can run pretty much anything, the only thing I'm lacking is a bit of processing power and having a 8600GT

Games, yes sure.. But to do game dev with modern tools and to modern standards.. 2gb doesn't cut it sometimes :P

heh, that's highly probable since developers often needs very high end computers to make games.
My compy was a close to the high end ones at the time I bought it.
Now computers are superior, but the only good thing it's that games now for most doesn't push too much further that. I think that's a good thing IMO

Yeah, if we're gonna talk about whats reasonable for 'Making' games, rather than 'Playing' games, you're gonna need proper stuff, its not at all the same... ;)

P.S this laptop came with a "family chip set" (in other words, no dedicated graphics, so it eats the RAM every time you use better graphics)

N.B I only brought this laptop as I needed one for typing things up at uni so... even with no dedicated graphics it does it's job....

well as of now, 5.5gb, but i saw this thing clled the thunderbird. and its like an exturnal hard drive right? but its ram. its a 32gb ram plug in :D only draw back ........$4399.....damn....

im sure one day if i win the lottery i can buy 22 pieces of ram which are 2 GB each and ask a engineer to preform a miracle of getting it into my computer ;D

4GB worth of DDR2 800 on my tower

My laptop also has 4GB but I think its only DDR2 400

I never checked the stats on my Desktop at work but it must be running 612KB. Damn thing takes 15 minutes to shut down

Even if that was possible today it would be a huge waste of money. Nobody except maybe servers and artists need more than 4-6 GBs. There will be bigger modules by the time more RAM becomes viable.
