Post subject:  A very Interesting Story

Okay i have a story to tell you guys

2 Years ago i found some strange rocks they were pure black and had a smooth Glass like texture

i've been wondering what they were for 2 years and i finally found out and the answer was very unexpected.

They are Obsidian.

Since i play minecraft i have a rough idea of what Obsidian is but i never expected to actually have it for 2 years Before i played the game ;D

this analysis came when i searched up obsidian to see if it was actually real ;D

And discovered it looked Strikingly familiar to the rocks i had in my possesion.

Im not going to sell them But im definatly going to see a Rock specialist to see if they have any value and to confirm what i think is Obsidian.

The reason im so happy about this is because its been a mystery for years and I've had lots of speculations on what they were, so its good to finally have a bit of proof ;D

Although i have another rock in my possesion that is green and i have to find out what that one is next ;D

So thats my stpo

So... you have volcanic rock?

I had an obsidian arrowhead.

Actually, I think obsidian rather cool, considering it's strong enough to make weaponry.

Before I played Minecraft, I just thought Obsidian was responsible for some pretty good RPGs.

Obsidian isn't super hard at all, actually. It's sole use lies in it's awesome looks and it has incredibly sharp edges. I've cut myself just handling it before.

Obsidian is not valuable at all, by the way. It's a curiosity, mostly.

If you'd said black and smooth glass texture I would have said Obsidian straight away.. :)

And yeah, Don't cut yourself, it makes good arrow and spear heads... ;)

And another green rock, well that could be anything, unless its glassy, in which case it could be only a few things...

Is it cubic in structure?, made up of several squares?

Knew that a long time ago.

Obsidian is volcanic glass, produced when felsic lava cools down at a rapid pace with minimal growth. Used for weapons (The Aztec Maquahuitl comes to mind), jewelry, and even used as scapel blades today.

Obsidian isn't all that rare, usually you can find some where volcanic areas are.
