Okay, i'm going to make a tutorial on how to be Cool Or (Socially Accepted), this cant be used to get with the (big) boys or the Popular kids but its used to be Accepted or Just blended in,

There's 5 steps to been cool

1. NEVER slip up, this means if your in a school, its VITAL that you dont slip up at any time, NO mistakes, little ones can pass but a school is like a security camera at every turn, if you make an embarrasing Mistake you wont get away easy, it'll be bragged about at school all the time.

2. Never go out of your league, this means Dont try to be the popular kid, its hard and dosnt grant you special powers of any kind, it just means your popular and well known thats it.

3. Dont try to date the popular girl, This is learnt through life experience, She KNOWS EVERYONE!!!
so if you break up with her or call her a name in an argument You are SCREWEDD!! Because if you break up with her your coolness and popularity goes with it.

4. Be brave and confident, Lots of schools pick on the wuss, so if someone tells you to do something in a dare, DO IT, unless its Really bad, then say are you mental or something like that, But if its something to nothing like shout something, just do it, because people will respect you for doing it, even if it means a small detention its worth it in the long run.

5. Stand up for yourself, if someone calls you a name call them one back, i dont believe in the tell the teacher bullshit, because you'll get a name for yourself in the school, now i'll probably get a warning because of this but, if it gets to the point and they want a fight with you, fight them, because if you win or even if you lose, you wont lose any repsect because you still stood up for yourself, telling the teacher loses respect.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and i hope you learnt something, school life IS hard, i hope this helps, i use to be the popular kid at school, and it dosnt grant anything, it just means you lose your virginity early and turn out lesser educated. so just be a inbetweener ;D

Not subjecting into any peer pressure is a cool way to be cool.

You're in a school. "Being cool" should be the least of your concern. No one cares if you have a Hatsune Miku backpack or Disturbed in your Discman. Keep your obsessions to the back seat, because you're in school to learn and expand your brain, kid.

School violence isn't cool. Grow up; there is nothing wrong with notifying a teacher. Be a self-respecting responsible person and stop encouraging bullying. You'll get no "respect" from anyone if you do this.


As a graduate from years ago, I find this thread quite the foolish advice that children shouldn't even take. You're no role model.

Woah Wait a minute im not Encouraging anything, im saying if someone comes up to you and says "your mums fat" then you dont run away you stand your ground, thats Being a MAN, and im Certainly not encouraging bullying in fact im doing the opposite, im telling kids to stand up to their bully's and kick there F*****g Teeth in,
that way they'll never pick on you again, that or going to the teacher and been a wuss, school life is practically like prison if you dont stand your ground you become the bitch, simple as that im afraid

I can tell the drama llama is trying to rear its fat ugly head around here!

And i seriously agree with worlock! The onlu peoples opinions you should care about is your proper friends and family! stuff the rest of them, who gives a damn!

But i do agree with grizzly about the standing up for yourself part, in a different sense, if they chat crap, take it on the chin and outsmart them, make THEM look like twats, if they hit you, hit them back.

It might just be the way i was raised, but in my school you HAD to stand up for yourself or you'd get a name like chicken and they wouldnt stop for months, so you HAD to stand up for yourself, the odd comment could be ignored but if there's people around you and you walked away you'd get a name fast, and i dont mean cool as in cool and popular i just mean simple high school tips, I even think sometimes the teacher will just want you to jaw them because they NEED it, high chool is tough, i have first hand experience, in my area if you get a name for yourself you education dies because you cant concentrate because they hammer you with there shit, So yes bullying DOES affect your education which is why you always have to stand up for yourself,
i once heard that a kid from around my area KILLED himself because he always got bullyed, now you tell me, if he had just got his fist and Smacked the bully in the mouth would he still be alive today? the answer is Yes, because he would have stood up for himself, and he would have showed the bully that he's a snot nosed wanker who needed jawwing, so thast why i try tell kids to ALWAYS stand up for themselves.

I was once popular in high school, i was friends with the popular girls and guys, everything was Fantastic But then i had to move schools and then the shit brew bad, the guys at that school were Tough as Shite, so i had no chance of been popular unless i lost my virginity and carved a picture of 50 cent into my arm, so i had to be an inbetweener, and i was fine but then i got a name for my self, this one was called "batman" and they didnt stop for months EVERYDAY, and i had to leave that school in the end because i was tired and really depressed i went home and cried everynight because it hurt so bad, So yes just dont get a name.

I just always stuck up for my self.
If I didn't think I could take him, I just kick him in the balls, I might take a ass kicking, but the next time he though about f**king with me, he remembered his balls and just walk by.
You don't need to be a bad ass, you just need to stick up for your self, verbally and physically and dont be a baby about it, that would just make it worse.
Its not whether or not you win or lose it how you play there game.

Trying to figure out a persons personality on the Internet is impossible.
But it seem that you need to change you strategy on dealing with confrontations.


Being cool and being popular are not the same, being your self is cool, most of the popular people are fakes.

Well that says it all.

I would stay out of this, but against my better judgment I will speak, who would I be if I didn't...

If you care so much about being cool and popular what will you be?, the answer is everyone else's Bi***, as you put it... :D

Do you really want to spend the rest of your life never figuring out who YOU are?, and instead trying to fit in and be what everyone else wants you to be?...

Life isn't about being popular, its about being who you are and not letting other people get you down, if someone doesn't like who you are, that's their problem, not yours... ;)

You want to know what being a man really is?, then take my advice, its about embracing who YOU truly are, and then pursuing that despite what others think or say, of course nothing in life is simple, and there are grey areas, but the principle remains the same.. :)

Don't be a wuss and give in to peer pressure, because that's exactly what you're doing, and I'm sorry, but its a form of weakness, you want to be strong and not a wuss, find your purpose and stick with it, don't waste your time with this "Being Cool" crap... :handgestures-thumbupright:

Going to speak, though I'm no longer in high school, and I can't keep silent about it anymore.

I'm so sick and tired of all these "fads" or "trends" or whatever f---ing malarkey it's called. I swear to Christ there's more melodrama in high schools nowadays then eons ago when school was first invented.

Seriously, what is the f---ing point with these trends? It serves no good point at all, instead, it's a modern day segregation based on cultures rather than ethnicity. Whatever happened to keeping an eye on school work and actually talking to friends about what they did rather than bullshit rumors.

I bet this is how all these dramas about high schools began, because of the damned cattiness of women and testosterone brained men.


Kids, no more trends, no more fads. Because you know what, you're people, not f---ing soup cans. Break out of this travesty and just be human beings, not childish infantiles who have to rely on social status' on who's popular or not.


As for the topic itself, five flaws with each step.

1: I freaking hate you for saying that. Do you think everyone is a god damn Adonis? Sculpted from the marble and is always perfect? NO. You're a human, everyone's flawed, you can't help to make mistakes, but how you bounce back is what matters.

2: Cool = Popular. Logic Fail.

3: First, why should she date people who aren't as popular as her? Second, She probably has a boyfriend.

4: You know, a lot of somethings will eventually lump up into one big thing.

5: Oh kiss it. Kiss it hard Grizz.

While I do agree that telling the teacher isn't a wise thing (learned it the hard way), if one starts a fight, don't fight, walk away. Yeah you might be called a wuss, but here's the thing:

Say you fight him, he decides not to defend, the fight gets broken up. He tells what happened and you try to tell what happened too, but at the end of the day, you're suspended, he's dandy and he won the fight, maybe not physically, but strategically.

The better thing to do is ignore the request, if he fights you, defend yourself the best you can.


Here's two simple steps.

1: Ignore.

2: If not, bite back, be aggressive.

Trying to fit in with the 'Cool Kids', is another term for being a spineless wuss who doesn't want to be seen to be different..

I swear you remind me of myself when I was in high school.

I thought being cool and popular was all about fashion...and then I wondered why everyone hated me

I was one of the most hated kids in school because I thought I wasn't playing the fad game right...no...It was attitude...only ever attitude.

Cool kids aren't cool because of some fad they follow. Cool people make trends but trends don't make cool people.

But how to become cool is completely arbitrary and there are no rules, it varies between every school

But I made far more friends just being nice to people than being "cool" so who needs it?

I second everything else that has been said.

I was Popular in school, the fad was one, but its just been a man really been more mature than the rest, i was popular in my school, but ever since my other school it slipped and i left,

But i learnt one important lesson in school, Stand up for yourself, I dont care what anyone says on here, its the single MOST important rule, because showing someone that you wont tolerate there shit IS been a man, ignoring it is just delaying it and eventually they'll think they can do it over and over.

In primary school i was bullied by a kid called connor and i swear i could have smacked him in the nose but i never did and I REALLY WISH I COULD HAVE GONE BACK IN TIME AND TOLD MYSELF TO DO SO, because there small insects trying to be big, i never bullied anyone in school because i know the pain it causes, i only hung around with the "cool" kids, But been "cool" dosnt mean your respected it only means your around with people who have alot of friends, and do silly things to impress there friends, i didnt do much silly things i did one stupid thing, which was try to get with a girl who was 17 ;D when i was 14, i nearly did but she found out my age and said sorry but i cant ;D

But i was been stupid anyway, i wouldnt have known what to do if she had said yes ;D

But im a teenager and i love living my life to the max and trying stupid things, ive shown people in my old school that im quite impervous to pain by having the strongest kid in school punch my hand as hard as he could, and he did and it hurt but i didnt show it, and hast how people started seeing me as cool ;D

But im a teenager and i love been stupid and doing silly things, im not as bad as other people i know trust me ;D
