Cool :handgestures-thumbupright: , but keep in mind that "following" does not mean "reading" ;)

Studies have shown that twitterers are actually a bit narcissistic and will expect others to read their tweets but will ignore everyone elses. Basic human nature at work

It is the same as how your friend list on facebook is not an indication of actual friends. People just add friends or follow tweets to raise a number, not interact.

But if you are lucky, a celebrity might follow your tweets and that should count for something

One of my friends has a commercial rapper following her tweets, she hasn't become more popular from it yet (I don't expect that to happen anytime soon :p), but it is still pretty cool

The internet is not a popularity stage. Besides, you've managed to attract at least one troll with your volatile vulnerability. Is that the kind of popular you want? Because that's all you're getting.

By the way, this 'gangsta' transformation phase is hilarious.

No, i use to have facebook for popularity but i dont use it anymore, so i made twitter to follow jeb and notch and i dont know whether it would be worth having followers.

It really wasn't his opinion expressed, pretty much just a statement drawn from what we observed. But while you're at it, make sure you follow Runestorm's twitter thingy too!
