The Unreal 1 ASMD obviously
Unreal 1 probably had the best designs of the series. UT3 or UT99 in 2nd place i guess... Really hated the UT2k3/2k4 ASMD.

This is only about the design / animations of the weapons 1/Unreal 1 / RTNP ASMD 2/UT 99 ASMD 3/UT 2003 shock rifle 4/UC 1 shock rifle 5/UT 2004 shock rifle 6/UC 2 shock rifle 7/UT 3 shock rifle 8/some design that combines aspects of existing rifles (mention what you mean in your post) 9/None of them I would like a different design (mention an existing weapon design if there is one you see as the shock rifle) 10/ WTF click on the link if you don't know the weapons http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Shock_Rifle |

Personal favorite was the UT99 Shock Rifle. I always thought the U1 one was pretty gosh darned ugly. |

Ironically, my least favorite UT game (UT3) has the best shock rifle in my opinion, thanks to the aftereffect of pulling corpses in after the shock combo. |

My Favorite is the UT3 Shock rifle for reasons SX pointed out and it just looks cool. My least favorite is the Unreal championship shock rifle because it looks like it runs on petroleum and operates on an internal combustion engine. |

The UT shock rifle. I tried to like the UT2003 one, but it felt a bit campy scifi-ish especially for its firing sound. UT2004 improved the firing sound but made the model look like a gun powered by aerosol. Unreal's ASMD sucks. It's a big grill with some word badly written on it with some whiteout, and it shoots bubble shockwaves and stars, even more pathetic feeling when you play the original release, which I bet no one has since the patches vindicated Unreal with loud different sounds. |

Blergh... hated UT3 weapon designs. Terribly nondescript things. The effects were cool enough though. I loved elements of the Unreal 1 ASMD. I think the model was a bit ugly, but I loved the steam venting from it, and I absolutely loved the effects of it. Model-wise, I think UT99 is my favourite, though I liked the look of UT2003's model too. |

Well, it's always been called the asmd shock rifle, so not much to complain other than epic does have fits of immaturity. As for the u1 asmd itself, sucks but it beats the hell out if the ut2004 one. |

I think the UT one is the best. The sound of the combo looks and sounds so powerful and satisfying. I haven't had the chance to try out the UT3 one yet. |

I'd have to agree with Xavious, the UT99 model was the best, but overall the one from Unreal 1 was better, even if it was modeled to look like a Whale Shark..

I ask much more opinions about its design than gameplay efficiency (that's even why I showed other weapon's models) because some people forgot about the original thread question.though it's interesting to have an opinion about the sound here. but continue guys, I'm taking note

A weapon design as far as i'm concerned, has to have a good look, the right FX, and sounds right. Unreal 1 had the best overall of those. I don't really care as much for the weapons power and such, i'll probably always take the one that has the best character or aesthetic

Ok so I take notes People hates UT 200X shock rifles except the captain A few people likes the Unreal 1's ASMD (Amplified Shock Modified Device) UT 3 shock rifle is also liked and UT99 shock rifle is pretty much loved by the majority here. As for the sound I think sgt kelly took note

I know the original trivia (as some people here seem to do), but I prefer my OWN version which sounds better to me. though in BU you guys found an other fun one which is called: Anyone Seen My Dog which sounds funny to me
