Post subject:  Trying to make a Rifle

Hey there!

I am trying to make a rifle for a character of mine named Kayden. He is in a Sci-Fi setting and uses a rifle that can switch between three firemodes (semi-auto, 3 shot burst, full auto). This is most commonly used as an assault rifle, but is designed as a sniper rifle >.>;

I have been using PMG to come up with a design, but I need someone's opinion... so to the RS massed =P

The ammo used is RPB with different payloads:
dulled metal: solid slug, standard round
green: acidic
red: virus (artificial virus which ruins peoples blood... long story short they die in quite a nasty way)
silver with blue stripes: explosive

Hmm, its a decent looking model to use, I'd use the weapon it if it were in a game... ;)

I'm playing around with the design now.. I'll post the results when I'm done.. or when I get back from the Cape, not too sure yet...

Looks kinda like the scavenger rifle from Call of Duty. That thing shot anti-zombie sniper bomb thingies. Will yours shoot anti-zombie sniper bomb thingies?

ChaosMarine, I can't wait, but hope you have a good time in Cape

Kelly, I have no idea what you are talking about, I don't usually play zombie versions of games >.>; but it does fire RPBs with explovie shots/solid shots... so good for anti-zombie, especially with full auto mode >:3

I've been back from the Cape for a little while now.. But I sorta hit a block while working on this... I can't think of anything for the stock area, and I haven't actually started a handguard yet.

I do have to add that the stock is not collapsible, just that is the only part on pmg which suited >.>;

Definitely had a good time at the Cape. :)

I'm trying to make a custom stock, but I've always sucked at making stocks in PMG.... >>
I think... I'll try working on another part of the gun..

Btw, do you have a name for it?

It is a custom rifle that Kayden, the char this is for, built for himself so it doesn't have a technical name, but I guess it a Adaptive Repeating Rifle so... K.A.R.R until I can come up with something better ^w^;

I like the design overall, but the grip with the trigger looks very uncomfortable.

yeah, me and my brother were talking about that actually... You can tell I have never fired a gun before?
The idea was that this was supposed to be a sniper rifle style first, assault rifle second, so I thought that style of handle would be better.

We came up with the idea that the rear handle could be either hinged or connected to a nanoforge so the rifle could adapt to the scenario...
