So since its been about 3 years since my last post on the forums I decided id come back and take a look around. But that's irrelevant to my thread title. Anyway me and Nickq2006 (who also used to walk these halls) are working on a game. Well "working" isn't exactly what id call it. Its more like me making maps that look bland and texture-less because we don't have anyone to do textures or models. So! To the point. Does anyone here do free modeling? I'm not asking for much just maybe a model here and there nothing complex. |

CMGuy wrote: not really, most of us are busy doin our own thang, the devs have their indie games, and the others are making more goods for BW, so im afraid ur outta luck... also, READ THE RULES, specifically this one. ''You may not solicit users for any project or purpose external to the forum; public, private, or commercial. Most importantly our member base is not a resource to be "mined" by individuals, groups, or businesses, for profit or not for profit.'' im not a mod or anything, but im sure u cant just recruit people on this forum for wutever u wanna do, so unless its part of the works in here, u cant do anything really. As i said, basically all of us wanna do our own thing, mainly on here, where we add more goods for BW mostly. try sumwhere else. You say your not a Mod, but you act like you are one, I recall you asked for help earlier this week? |

Haha hey man I was just wondering. I figured this would kinda work in the "Chit Chat" Forum. My return has been doused by someone who makes me sad I'm just kidding . I wonder if that rule was around when I joined in 2006. I don't remember haha its been so long. Thanks for the links though ShadowBlade, good to see you! Ill take a look at em and see what I can find. I found a site awhile ago but the format wasn't in the required format for UDK so I gave up.

CMGuy, we have a strict stance on backseat moderating. Enforcing and pointing out the rules is our job, not yours. Harassing other users and telling them to look elsewhere is a grievous violation of that rule. I don't care if you were previously a moderator, if something is wrong, you PM us so that we can handle it. |

yeah i know, i went off track and was sorry for that, now plz, lets move on. (plz delete my previous statements and anything pertaining to that) there are PLENTY of sites where u can get help or find useful resources, u just have to find em. i managed to find one that was useful for sum of my projects. just be careful though, not all of em are free, and not all of em are willing to release em to the public, make sure u check their policies b4 u go dl their stuff... its a vast place the net it is. |

I think we need ourselves hands on our actual projects, so it will be hard to find people with abilities without working on a project actually. I suggest you to go at epic games forums or beyond unreal you might find people even if it will be hard, but that's not impossible. |

Helping others rewards u later on. But the sad thing is, like u said, its hard to find helpfuls these days. |

Hey hey! Welcome back. Have you tried starting modelling yourself? That was how we dealt with our skill shortage problems. Also, the more you are doing on your own project, the better your chances of convincing other people to help. |

My only suggestion is to try with blender 3d. I work with it and it's a good program. |
