Newer games tend to be better optimized for new hardware, and some games are simply poorly optimized.

So I went out and got ut3, and i like it but i noticed something really funny. With ut3 i can run it full settings for everything. But with BF2 i can even play it on medium settings lol |

I know right? Also i manage 35-40 Fps on crysis with medium gfx settings |

That must be the case. because its really weird. but just then i stopped and thought about it and i have come to a conclusion. Bf2's bot pathing system is very very bad. because i played online like 10 mins ago, was on high everything. then i was like "sweet! it works time for some AiX" but no it lagged...i love bf2, but AiX is my fav mod and i cant even play it

I faced that same situation when I played the UT3 demo. Everything ran smoothly (60fps) at max settings, barring all the Dx10 stuff (I was still using WinXP at that time) Meanwhile Crysis chugged along at medium-high settings at 30fps Then again, UT3 maps are small compared to Crysis playing fields. |
