To start...
The ut2004-win64 launcher won't work... says my cd key is bad while the 32bit launcher works just fine. Next, i cant play online unless i turn off my firewall(even though i added ut2004 to the exceptions list).

I i check the administrator box under properties, i can play online and at my full screen resolution(where as not under admin my screen res is capped lower...). The drawback of this admin mode is that a slight buzzing noise can be heard while playing the game(also happens in oblivion which crashes when not under admin mode).

So... any advice? I'm running win7 up to date with a sound card that acts normally when not under admin mode. ut2004 is patched to 3369.

Thanks people,
- James

I just installed the CD version of UT2004 on my Windows 7 64-bit machine without a hitch. No compatibility mode or firewall modifications required. How did you end up with both a 64bit and 32bit launcher? Mine only installed a single executable.

Also, as a heads up, Windows 7 64-bit and sound cards don't work well together. Especially if you're using Creative hardware. Those dopes dropped the ball with their latest drivers.

I downloaded the 64 bit 3369 update after installing the regular 3369 patch.
Yeah... seems like the sound card thing is pretty wack.

odd im the only one having this issue...

Yeah. I just installed the 64-bit patch and the new executable ran fine. The sound cut out nearly immediately though, so time for me to go shopping for a non-Creative card.
