This place is pretty quiet. Let's spruce things up a bit.

What games are you currently playing in this day and age?

I've got a nice rotation of Battlefield 3, UT2004 BW, and Modern Warfare 3 right now. Nothing but shooters, shooters, and shooters. A little while ago I was hooked on Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, and Crysis 2.

I've got a whole bunch of games from the Steam sales, but I can never find time to play them in between modding and the AAA shooters.

UT2004; BF2(not sure if I can run 3); Vice City on PC(don't ask); Maplestory, boredom got the best of me; Urban Terror; Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

But that's only on PC.

On PSP.... Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy and Smackdown VS RAW 2010.
I'll probably get FF7 off of PSN(hear about their latest lawsuit?).

Not really sticking to anything at the moment, I get bored relatively easy.. :D

Mostly Left4Dead I guess, other than that, lately its whatever takes my fancy for a few minutes.... :)

Depends what you mean exactly by tactical, but Left4Dead and Serious Sam sound like good bets, among many others that aren't COD.. ;)

Hah, the way I play CoD could make you wonder if tactics are really needed or not. lol
I'd say go for the online-multiplayer games. Those never seem to require tactics.

Tactical might not be the right terminology, but I'm referring to army/milatary types.
I just never got in to them or having to buy or ern weapons and upgrades.

Anyway, following Xmas, I've been playing some AssCreed: Brotherhood (which is probably the best one so far), Risen and more :D

TA is awesome, especially if you get mods to increase the unit cap and get interesting new units.

I got Saints Row 2 for Christmas. It has me!!!
Unfortunately the horrible handling of some vehicles makes some things unpleasant, but other than that its crazy! The shit spraying! THE SHIT SPRAYING is ridiculously fun! They didn't make it an activity, but just getting a bulldozer and wreaking havoc is one of my favorite things too.

The experimental kbots just rocks, just freakin' giant robots who destroys the enemy base !
I love also the super long range towers, most games have crappy defense turrets, like in starcraft, but TA and mostly the mod units add so much cool stuff in there.

I got a PS3 and Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4. I beat it(not 100%) in a few days. :D
And with PS+, I got three Spyro and a Tomb Raider games for free.

Unfortunately, my mom got the most useless bundle ever... It came with Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 3D. And that's it. No HDMI cable. No 3D glasses.
And my mom's the only that would actually watch it...

But I won't complain... Too much... :P

Someone gave me a free copy of Diablo 2 plus expansion a while back...

Didn't think I would be interested in some medieval fantasy RPG at first, especially an old one. I'm a sci-fi guy at heart. But being a Blizzard Title, I gave it a shot

I play it more than anything else now. I'm still trying to get my 7 characters to level 40.

Every now and then I do play Urban Terror, UT2004, Starcraft 2 and Portal 2...but then its back to Diablo in a short amount of time. So yea, that's one of the reasons you don't see me around here often


PS: This forum is coded so much better than the KYM forums where I'm posting now. Have to say I missed phpBB.

Aaaahaahha! I love Saints Row 2! Me and my bro were playing it coop, went streaking, then hijacked a motorcycle when people started chasing us! Then we crashed. And directing traffic with the streaking diversion is awesome. Try getting a bunch of people chasing you down and see how many you can direct a car into!

SR2 is certainly something. I just went through dozens of frustrating failed attempts at trail blazing. God damnit, how did that horrible vehicle get past QA!? Maybe it works better on Xbox. Then for vengeance I went on a chainsawing and machine gunning spree. Oh, the chainsaw sure is nasty.

Ahem... CORE. ALL THE DAMN WAY.

AND i absolutely LOVE saints row 2, i got the 3rd one for christmas and its amazing, the character customisation isn't quite as good, but its still awesome! The dildo bat that flops around as you run is just amazing. It also has boob jiggle physics and hair jiggle physics. NO LONGER DOES THE STATIC HAIR-DO AND BOOBS BOTHER MEH!

Its awesome.

As for games i'm playing right now, League of Legends mainly. Some Dawn of war 2 as well. I also got into the DOTA 2 beta and the Tribes Ascend beta, both are wicked. Tribes is so very very very difficult, but oh so rewarding when you hit that jackass across the map with a mortar to the face! Good times!

Yep, I just reinstalled it and played a few matches.

@BetaKrogoth: What do you like about Core? They have such huge disadvantages.

@TurboK: Core are the best! They have the Goliath, the Krogoth, the Rapier!

Mostly though about Core, it's preferential. But without mods, the Arm have no Krogoth equivalent; yikes!
