Help picking my first Drawing Tablet that will work good with Gimp. I've searched and and found a couple of high end ones, but theirs no real info on any others. I don't want to start out with a $300USD one to find out I don't like it. I did find the "Adesso Cybertablet Z12A Ultra Slim Graphics Tablet" $80USD seems to be good but I don't know if its compatible with Gimp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I think most will be compatible with gimp, I bought a cheap $20 one that works fine with gimp. The main thing I woukd recommend is not paying for the $300 one, unless you have used a tablet before and love it. I've had mine for years and I just can't get used to it... Other than that I have very little experience with them. |

I can ask my mom about it... She uses a tablet, and thinks it's one of the best things ever. I know how to use them, but I just dislike the tablet in general. But as far as I know, most, if not all tablets, are compatible with any image software. |

Until you get the hang of it, grab a cheap one. Once you are used to drawing/whatever without looking at the tablet and feel you are limited by it, then consider upgrading ^w^ Get too advanced a tablet and you will feel swamped... Mal P.S Merry Christmas :3 |

If you're a professional, you would consider the more expensive ones, but then you'd have already used one before. Definitely if this is your first one, get something low cost. Try find the best quality for a low price. We have used cheap ass genius tablets and they got the job done, more or less. |
