I'm wondering what favorite Custom Game Types for UT2004 everybody has on their games because the game types I found for my game are getting kind of tiring and sometimes boring and Google search is not that great on showing where I can find new game types people have made for the game that I can download.

Here's the ones I play quite a bit aside from BW Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch/CTF...

Elimination Tournament Edition (Very fun and nerve wracking when you crank the AI to ungodly hard levels and use a big arena)

Unreal 1 Gametype (BW + Unreal Gold = A new take on an old classic)

Assassin

And last some of the YARM gametypes.

Is there any other gametypes people have created that I have missed.

I always love playing Elimination.

Sometimes I'll make it me versus an entire team of enemies dressed up as zombies who are forced to use knives (via ScorpionSK's Team Loadout Mutator). It makes for awesome BW zombie gameplay.

(Until of course they steal your BFG from your dead body.)

Heh I should try that tomorrow. When I was reinstalling my game and all the stuff I lost I came across a whole load of zombie skins for the bots that would work quite well I even gave them the voice of the HL2 Zombie. Bonus points that I have the Bruce Campbell voicepack on my system and it's "skin" (a rebaged version of Torch) I should use them and use BWOutsider (that I can't get the 3D crosshair to show up for some reason) and pick a space arena and you got Evil Dead: In Space!

And to make it just that harder I think I also have the Mutator that make skeletons appear whenever you kill someone and they chase after you.

Thanks! :)

I usually play UT2004 deathmatch with a short time limit and very little mutators.

Sometimes I go smack some bots around with Ballistic Weapons, usually in BW Conflict or CTF.

I also love to fly around with the bomber plane I edited, in ONS-Limbo (nice open world, power-nodes somewhat shielded from my bombs).

Finally, I love to play Siege Evolution. A modification of the Siege2004 mod I made a long time ago. I just love running around fragging hordes of helpless bots, constructing a cool base, mining operations and vehicle factories which produce tanks to ride around with in CTF / BR maps.

I have many Gametypes, but I love:

- Vehicle Invasion: Yeah! Invasion in any map, with vehicles! I use ONS maps and Car Launcher mutator with my favourites vehicles, Ballistic Weapons and Advanced Regeneration.

- Last Team Standing: In this gametype only one team can win, and each player have limited lifes to re-spawn. I like to use with Instagib mutator. ;D

What mutator is?

I think it's called Skeleton of Nightmare or Nightmare Skeletons I'm at work so I can't look at the moment. There's also a unique Invasion custom game that comes with the Mutator that has you survive waves of them and if they come in contact with you it's pretty much the touch of death.

Maybe Zombies of Nightmare? It has option to make skeletons, I never check this option. I could try and see what happens...

Yea that's the one. It makes just about any gametype you add it to harder. Not only you have the other competitors to deal with you got to use some of your ammo on a bunch of zombies that show up at times.

You can also use Invasion Everywhere mutator, it's very fun! A CTF game infested by skaarjs is very harder. But they can't do nothing with Ballistic Weapons! ;D

Hmm... I wonder if this mutator can be used with Zombies of Nightmare...

Some of the ones I play more often are Team Arena Master and Assault trials maps.

I played a Team Arena Master match last night first to 5 points on Hill Of Death and already it's becoming my favorite game type. It's like a harder version of Elimination Tournament where you just get one life, if your using the BW Weapons one ammo clip on quite a lot of the weapons you get at random and if your behind or winning the game handicaps you according by increasing your movement speed or cutting your health in just over half.

I can see myself playing this game type as much as Elimination Tournament. :D

I am addicted to the Betrayal UT2k4 gametype and I also like "Defend the leader" and "Gateways" from U4E.

I'm addicted to YARM's King of the Hill gametype + YARM's Zombie Mutator for some awesome defend the point style invasion. Unfortunately the zombies mod seems a bit picky on whether or not the zombie waves will respawn, seems like smaller maps work better.

Wow someone ported Betrayal from UT3 to UT2k4. I remember when I was getting in to Unreal Tournament back when I had UT3 for the PS3 that was the game mode I played almost all the time before the game started to get fussy & glitchy with the mods that were cooked/ported for the PS3 game. I'm going to have fun trying to learn again how to shoot at Masterful bots with the Instagib Rifle that's not the Enhanced Shock Rifle from BW with it's powerful auto-fire alt. fire mode.

I just tried something like that the other day when I discovered that option that had my team, the Bot Team and some zombies that pop up from time to time and I turned on the option that used the Perfect Dark styled scoring method and I added the YARM bots mutator that makes the bots come at you firing their weapons instead of standing in one place opening fire and makes them employ squad strategies like coming at you in more groups, crouching and I think when you hurt them enough they back off and try to find cover and go from there I normally don't let the bots live that long to really find that out for myself. >:D
