So yesterday when I was making my routine rounds of visiting the official Epic Forms in the UT2004 Beta & Full release sub forms that's always a good place to see what new mods people are making for the game I came across someone posting a mind boggling number of voice packs he has worked for the past year. 142 of them to be exact and they are all high quality sounding. Most of these most already know about or have already got like the Left 4 Dead, LoL or the CoD Black Ops: Zombies voices for example but as far as I have seen I have not seen someone post voices from Mass Effect or Skyrim yet for UT2k4. And also the guy found a hidden 3rd male voice for Killing Floor that sounds like the voice actor for The Patriarch but without the very growly digital effect he normally has going on. There's also a proper Serious Sam voicepack as well a better one for Tony Montana that uses the voice of him from the Scarface game that was released a few years back compared to the old one that was voice clips from the movie. But as a drawback if your playing UT2k4 on a budget system (like how I play the game) I would not recommend installing all of them because you will quickly get the run out of VR Memory error when your going to the Player screen in the game settings as it tries to load all of the voicepacks as I have encountered even when I programmed my own VM Paging File and jacked the space up from about 10000 MB Initial size to 70000 MB max size. On a side note I don't know how to set up the VM paging file up right I just used my tablet and a data number converter and typed in different numbers in the MB value to see what the GB equivalent would be and went from there. Anyways go take a look for yourselves and enjoy. |

I totally replied to that thread the other day but my reply magically disappeared. Odd. But yeah, totally awesome voice packs. Especially the CoD and Mass Effect ones. |
