For reasons unknown, i've been playing a ton of UT2k4 again (with BW of course!) and remembered about this amazing vehicle i used to play with.

I don't know if any of you already know about this, but it was made by XS Vehicles and is called the LED. To sum it up, its a giant armoured storm causing mine spewing multifunctional monstrosity of a zepplin!

Bits blow off it, its got amazing effects on it. Hell, the cockpit detaches when it blows up and floats to the floor and is usable a spider tank! How cool is that? If you haven't heard or used it yet, i'd highly recommend downloaded it and seeing it in action. Its absolutely amazing.

Last time I played with these vehicles was several years ago!

It seems to the vehicle is brand new
He should post his mods into some site like moddb, gamefront, and or strategy informer

I don't think so Kelly, i've tried looking around at the last update on his main site was in 2009/2010 time. No progress on the big UT3 mechs he was working on either, which is a real shame. But i'll always love the LED.

The LED Zepplin isn't new. I played around with before I had BW. Seems like when I used it it had trouble due to its massive size moving around in maps, but it was freaking awesome.

I had that too once, but size was a limiting factor indeed.

I like the YARM MBT (Tank that looks like abrams, got full suspension, firemodes, coax mg...)
and the UT3 vehicles SPMA, which replaces that awkward beacon aiming with the better UT3 view-point aiming. :handgestures-thumbupright:


But yeah, sad that XS stopped developing his vehicle mod for UT2k4.
I mean, making walkers is complicated, but using the way that "Blackstrider" uses (very similar to the UT3 Darkwalker) could be applied to these aswell. Or use the way Airpower used for his transforming fighter jet... :think:

Animating those things and coding them are indeed hard
There is the mod robostorm and COR that have mechs actually

It's a cool superpowered vehicle with pretty graphics but it's kind of cumbersome to use and bots don't understand it well. I didn't have it in my motorpool for long.

"Poilice Interceptor" still remains my favorite :)
