And no the title wasn't on purpose. What are the best most awesome boss fights you've ever ... opposed? Fought may not always apply. No spoilers please! MGS4's end fight was freaking awesome. And I thought the whole thing was well done, it transitions between different HUD from the series' game. overall I rather enjoyed the entire game even if the whole thing threw yet another wrench in what I thought I understood about the series. I have quite a collection! Of wrenches. Borderlands 2: while i had a somewhat easy time with the end boss just because I had a stupidly powerful shotgun as a gunzerker, i still enjoyed the concept of the fight. It would've been harder had i not farmed for my shotty for so long. And terramorphous... Ho boy. it took me weeks to solo kill that one. But i finally did it! Huzzah! It borders near the boundry of absurdity, the difficulty of that boss. Dark souls: pick any of them. i thought I was skilled as a gamer until the first hostile mob i encountered killed me 6 times in a row. (pair of skeletons both with sword and shield) Torchlight 1: I don't really remember much about the end boss except that it was challenging and that i enjoyed it. Though to be honest I fairly enjoyed the random dungeon aspect far more than anything else. You mean i get to dungeon crawl with no limits? Yey! Bioshock. A man chooses. A slave obeys. Cave story: More than the final boss the entire damn game is one big puzzle. It WAS free to play last I knew, and free for a game that is just downright amazing is the best deals anywhere. |

The MMORPG Runescape has some very entertaining and challenging bossbattles. Too bad the devs now only focuse on how to get the most money out of the players...

Shadow of the Colossus.....all of it.... "Ornstein and Smough" from Dark Souls,"Grandfaloon" from Symphony of the Night, "Spider-Man and Batman" from Revenge of Shinobi, "Alden Tate" from inFamous, most Metal Slug bosses, "Baladium" from Klonoa (dat music), most God of War bosses (but especially the Minotaur from GOW1), "The Glass Devil" from MediEvil, all Nights into Dreams bosses (they're REALLY easy, but are all memorable nonetheless.Again, probably because of the awesome music), "Dingodile" from Crash Bandicoot 3 (if you don't use the cheap way of beating him), most Yakuza bosses, also a lot of bosses from "Imperishable Night", "Perfect Cherry Blossom" and both "Koumajou Densetsu" games. While I'm a Metal Gear Solid fan, and I love the boss fights, I can't really consider them "good" boss fights. Their unquestionable awesomeness is too dependent on gimmicks and my investment on the story and characters. That being said MGS4's final boss was a perfect closer for the series.... Also, MGS4 kinda TOOK my entire wrench collection away Which surprised me, because after the end of MGS2, I thought we'd need at least 2 more games to explain everything.... ( and we did, considering MGS4's Game/Cut-scene ratio) |

Serious Sam: Second Encounter. The fight BEFORE the final boss. It was just epic. |

I can't think of many as being very epic, most of these seems to just pale in comparison of the rest of the games where they are featured on. I can say painkiller bosses, and Serious sam SE ones. |

All of the bosses were awesome, and that music is just the best. I played the free version first and later got the commercial version. Its nice. |

I got the plus version on steam. I'm glad that I did. @MGS Well, I had thought the gimmicks were the worst at 2, (IIRC) and after weren't so bad. the gimmicks worked better, but you could still go other routes. lol @ beating the end the silly way. I didn't know about it until I had beaten the game. Also; I had to look up what the grandfaloon was. Though the boss fight with the lizardman and gargoyle are pretty awesome too, if only because you aren't OP. Esp playing X-X!V''Q. ... in fact, none of them really lasted very long come to think of it. Damn you double ring of varda/Crissaegrim combo! My last play through I did it using fists and combat knife only. Was fun literally kicking everything to death. I actually found a copy of the soundtrack somewhere, written in japanese and everything. Alucard is such a prettyboy. |
