Post subject:  MY massive Ut folder
as most of you know I Have a very large Ut 2k4, and ut3 File archive. well, i finally took it apone my self to categorize every map,gametype,mutator,addon etc. Then I got to thinking. heck im gonna install all of this at once. (save the total conversion mods) and what i ended up with was truly amazing. my unreal tournament 2004. is now very slow at loading (not surprising) but it still runs fantastic after you get into the game. side note when you have 50 plus mutators running at the same time. game doesnt like to work. ill have to get some screens up, but back to the beginning. now that all of the mods are sorted accordingly Iv decided to build the largest net of mods there is. im currently downloading the ones that are not in my archive. but once i have them all, I will be distributing to ut sites that do not have mods that others have, (with author permission that is of coarse, when required)

anyhow. thats whats been up with me. how have yall been?

I been working a lot more now thanks to getting a promotion of sorts at work a few months ago and eveything that is 4-5 years old that I own has been slowly breaking. First the motor in my old AC unit was making the sound that it was going to blow up I got a nice smaller more efficient LG unit in it's place.

And earlyer this week my Acer UT2k4 Dev box was going all blue screen at random times and the fans were running harder then they should be when it does this so I replaced it with a ASUS system that specs are a bit more of a buff then the Acer and it was $100 cheaper then when I bought the Acer 5-6 years ago. Only problem it is has Windows 8. After using this OS for a few days it's not as bad as most people say it is and thankful Microsoft has just showed off Windows 8.1 coming this fall and is fixing a few of the major issues people where having with it (Start Button is coming back as with Boot to Desktop :D ) but over all it's clear Windows 8 is just Microsoft dumping it's Metro tablet UI in to anything that can run Windows. Some of the prompts even say "tap" instead of "click" if your using just keyboard and mouse.

I'm more glad I did not start work on a new voice pack yet because I would of been so pissed if my Acer broke altogether and thankfully I backed up my un-compiled voice packs to online storage of what I did so far so I did not lose really anything of what I worked on. All I got to do is reinstall the programs I use to make them and a copy of UT2004.
